MOTIVATION TIP: MISTAKES ARE OKAY!

“Patience is a virtue!” But are we really

practicing patience; especially in this

world of immediate gratification?

Think about it, we have microwaves to

cook food faster. There are remote

controls for the television. So, we no

longer have to get up and change the

channel. Come to think of it getting up

to change the channel did offer a little

exercise, compared to now becoming

couch potatoes. And lastly, the cell

phone! The days of waiting until you

got home to check your answering

machine or make a call are long gone.

Let’s be honest, patience can definitely

be challenging, especially when there

is something you want badly.

These tips from the Cleveland Clinic

may be helpful with moving towards a

more patient life:

1. Be self aware and mindful of

things that make you impatient.

2. Make yourself wait. Don’t act on

every impulse to check your phone

or try allowing other people to go

ahead of you in traffic or a line.

3. Resist the urge to immediately fix

everything.

4. Practice being a good listener.

Focus on understanding, rather

than coming up with a response.

5. Finally, be playful and try to take

yourself less seriously.

Patience is not easy, but with practice

it can become easier.

H 2 O! A small jem but BIG to your wealth and health. Your body is made

up of 60% water. Just think about that for a second…. Drinking water aids

in weight loss, increases energy, regulates bowel movements and provides

mental clarity. These are just a few benefits of consistently drinking

the right amount of water.

To help get you started take your body weight and divide it by two. This is

how many ounces of water you should drink each day. Be intentional

about getting the right serving of water daily and journal the changes you

feel and see in your body and skin.

TIPS:

Do– use lemons and fruits to help if you struggle with drinking water.

Don’t—buy flavored water that has sodium or sweetener. Find the flavor

that has 0 for everything on the bottle.
