This year, Following an opening night at<br />

which Director Sarah Gavron along with writers<br />

theresa ikoko & claire wilson presented their coming of age drama<br />

ROCKS, the <strong>2019</strong> <strong>Festival</strong> attracted its highest attendace for more than<br />

6 years. Over 8 days the <strong>Festival</strong> presented 165 films to an audience in<br />

excess of 11,800, with further public engagement online through a social<br />

media following in excess of 43,000.<br />

<strong>Cambridge</strong> <strong>Film</strong> <strong>Festival</strong> is now firmly established as one of the<br />

largest cultural events in the East of England.<br />

as well as welcoming 90 filmmakers from around the<br />

world, to present and speak about thier films, CFF once<br />

again showcased the very best films from across the globe.<br />

including award-winning features from major international<br />

festivals, 38 UK premieres and a host of major UK and<br />

American titles often many months before their theatrical<br />

releases.<br />

The <strong>2019</strong> <strong>Festival</strong> saw the development of the “ CFF Youth Lab”. Designed<br />

to develop diverse young audiences for film and art cinema “Youth LAb”<br />

introduced the hugely successful Young People’s Jury, the Family<br />

<strong>Film</strong> <strong>Festival</strong> Audience Award, and a year round programme of “CFF In<br />

your community” screenings with partners across the city.<br />
