Call it the Zara 'it' dress effect, or a spring fling —the spotted pattern is<br />
back once again for S/S 20. In reality, this is one print, much like check<br />
or leopard, that remains a constant in our wardrobes so it never really<br />
goes away. However, it can get a little repetitive when it's all black-onwhite<br />
or white-on-black versions. Which is why the latest take on the<br />
pattern is genuinely much more exciting than we've seen in a while.<br />
On the runways of Balenciaga, Richard Quinn, Dries Van Noten<br />
and Gucci, there were polka dots in different colours and sizes.<br />
Designers also played with putting polka dots on more interesting<br />
silhouettes, such as the oversized shoulders over at Richard<br />
Quinn and Balenciaga. In essence, there was nothing run of the<br />
mill about these polka dots—it was go bold or go home.<br />
