PEGASUS POST Latest Canterbury news at starnews.co.nz Tuesday February 11 2020 3 News Sports centre refresh on track THE REFRESH of Graham Condon Recreation and Sports Centre is on track, the gym and main sports hall re-opened last week. The remainder of the centre – including pools – will re-open in early April. City council head of recreation, sports and events Nigel Cox said facility users will be impressed with the refresh so far. “We have refurbished the reception area, including the toilets, and the gym change Nigel Cox rooms. The fresh paint, new flooring and new energy efficient lighting have also spruced the facility up after nearly a decade of constant use by the community.” The gym equipment remains the same and no changes have been made to the main sports hall. Mr Cox says while there is still significant maintenance to be carried out on the pools, including tiling repairs and work on the toilets and change rooms, the project is progressing well. “We thank the community for Quail Island Adventures Get the kids into nature and head to Quail Island!
