President’s Report
2019 has been a very busy year.
This summer the Museum received some very significant collections. This indicative of the trust that
is building with those wishing to place their memories somewhere and we
are carefully following our collection management policy.
We encourage you to keep an eye on our Facebook page, there have been some amazing photos from
these collections posted.
The heritage committee continues to work with the architect and the Squamish-Lillooet Regional
District to determine the necessary work required at the Bralorne Pioneer Mines Office Building to
move the museum into that building. Additionally, thanks to our grantwriter, several significant
project proposals have been submitted to pay for the renovations and other structural repairs.
A big thank you goes to our dedicated staff, who are not only working through the collection
management project but also engage and share our unique history with visitors.
