Combat at the Castle
See and hear how Robert de Belleme,
Earl of Arundel, trained his soldiers in
preparation for what was to be the first
siege of the castle in 1102.

A Call to Arms
It is the year 1216 and King John prepares
to fight a rebellion or an invasion from
France. Arundel Castle is now the scene
for these preparations. A large tented
encampment is the wonderful setting for
demonstrations of armour, combat, archery
and falconry. Crafts include making mail
armour, leather working, scribing and cooking

Plant Fair
Within the grounds of Arundel Castle, over
20 specialist nurseries will be exhibiting
and selling a wide range of locally grown,
good quality, interesting, and often unusual,
plants, bulbs and shrubs.

wildlife experience includes Playing the Bat

overlooking Oaklands Park.
