John Rosemond Parenting Lecture

Financial Peace University

From the Pastor

Dear Church Family,

Psalm 1 says they are blessed who delight in the Law of the Lord, who meditate upon his law day and

night. "They are like trees planted by streams of water, which yield their fruit in its season, and their leaves

do not wither. In all that they do, they prosper."

The Bible not only teaches us how to be forgiven our sins and have a relationship with God that is the very

substance of eternal life.

The Bible ALSO teaches us how to live wise and healthy lives. It teaches us principles that help us to

prosper in the the here and now.

I'm very excited about two upcoming opportunities that our church is offering to the community to help

individuals and families prosper.

The first is the John Rosemond parenting seminar on March 1st. Dr. Rosemond is a 'parenting guru' who

has written numerous books on child-rearing. He is also a committed Christian who believes that Biblical

principles provide us a solid foundation for healthy parenting. He will preach in the morning services and

the seminar will be from 2-5:30 in the afternoon.

Please RSVP if you are planning to come.

The second opportunity I am excited for us to offer to our community is Dave Ramsey's "Financial Peace

University" (FPU). FPU teaches people how to get out of debt, create a budget, and build a stronger

financial future using principles and wisdom taught in the Bible. FPU will be taught during the Sunday

School hour beginning March 8th. Let us know if you want to attend.

We are a church that cares about the people and families of our community, and these two opportunities are

practical ways we can help the people of our community to grow and prosper based on Biblical principles.

I hope you will spread the news about these offerings to others who can benefit from them.

May the Lord Jesus Christ bless and keep you+

-Rev. Daniel

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and

teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be

built up. Ephesians 4:11-12

time, and the human body overwhelm. Amen.

-Give Thanks Always-

Have you counted your blessings lately?

One thing I am very thankful for is the

remarkable generosity of this

congregation. 2019 saw not only an

increase in attendance at St. Francisville

Methodist, but also growth in

giving. We also saw growth in the

giving pledges for 2020. Your

generosity is a wonderful gift!
