Refugee Reception & Placement Program

Assist in the coordination of
services for refugee clients,
including: housing, medical
appointments, inter-agency
referrals, and crises intervention.
Work closely with Case Managers
and serve clients from countries like
Burma, Bhutan, Iraq, Afghanistan,
and Democratic republic of Congo.
Interact with city and state
agencies and representatives as
well as other non-profits in order to
secure services for clients.
Maintain a high level of
organization in documenting
activities within client case files and
computer database
Mentor a newly arrived family or
individual

Marketing and Programming Intern

Ground-level content creation: revamping old marketing material and creating
evergreen templates for marketing campaigns, both digital and print.
Website and social media development: help Coalition staff and board members
in updating and restructuring website and engaging a wider audience through social
media strategies thereby developing community relations efforts.
Programming: actively participate in existing programs to better grasp the issue of
adult literacy.
Community Outreach:, developing community relations efforts, working with
groups in the community to identify and develop strategic means for promoting the
Coalition's mission.
External Relationships: working with local literacy providers, community partners
and board to cultivate community relationships, represent the agency in community
venues and expand professional network.
