WE ARE LATINAAMÉRICA TRAINING COURSES BY PROFESSIONALS FOR PROFESSIONALS SEMINARS FOR TRAVEL AGENTS COUNTRY SEMINARS FOR TRAVEL AGENTS TRAINING COURSES AT VOCATIONAL COLLEGES Each year, ARGE Lateinamerika provides around 400 travels agents with training about Latin America as a destination and offers its members a wide variety of opportunities to present their products. In this way, an important network is established, throughout the market, of people who are able to disseminate information about Latin Amerca in general and the individual members in particular. Each year, the training programme is adapted to the requirements of the market and the members: Roadshows with evening or half-day seminars Events for individual members / country presentations Cooperation with renowned museums Depending on needs and budget the members of ARGE have the opportunity to present individually their product. The participating travel agents are invited to the seminars by ARGE Lateinamerika and its members. The ArgeLA supports the member countries by organising own roadshows and events. From event planning, invitation to travel agents, to qualified speakers, ArgeLA takes on all tasks that lead to a successful event and increase the level of awareness of the countries of Latin America. AWARD-WINNING TRAINING QUALITY ARGE Lateinamerika has twice won awards for its training activities from the Willy Scharnow Tourism Foundation. In 1991 and again in 2007, the Foundation confirmed the outstanding work carried out by ARGE in the ongoing training of tourism professionals in Germany. As a supplement to the German curricula, ARGE Lateinamerika offers full-day seminars on Latin America to vocational and technical schools. „We were together in Latin America“ is the goal for an intensive learning day for the students. With modern presentation technology, practical exercises and intensive group work, around 200 students are sensitised to the destination of Latin America every year. The seminar stands out from the daily school routine and lingers in the memory of pupils and students to the benefit of tourism to Latin America. As well as general information about the destination, the focus in the vocational and technical colleges is also on the products of the ArgeLA members. ARGE LATEINAMERIKA 9
