Tsunami Sport uses Inspire Collection fabrics for the majority of<br />
its products. These fabrics combine high-quality recycled<br />
Polyester (rPET) yarns, technical precision and outstanding<br />
properties. This enhances Tsunami Sport’s products with<br />
unrivalled performance and durability while still being<br />
eco-friendly.<br />

OUR <strong>FABRICS</strong><br />
WHAT IS PET?<br />
Nearly half of the world’s clothing is made of polyester and<br />
Greenpeace forecasts this amount to nearly double by 2030.<br />
Virgin Polyester is made from crude-oil. It uses more<br />
energy and causes more pollution than rPET*.<br />
Recycled Polyester (rPET) is made from PET bottles and<br />
fabrics. The recycling process reconstitutes the fibre on a<br />
molecular level and provides rPET with the same physical<br />
properties as virgin polyester with a lower environmental<br />
impact.<br />

Inspire Collection fabrics are enhanced with special properties that are designed to give you<br />
optimal support and protection in every challenge you take.<br />
ANTIBACTERIAL<br />
Antibacterial finishes add a durable defense barrier on fabric, which helps fight odorcausing<br />
bacteria, mold and mildew. This makes the fabric stay fresh longer and protects<br />
against microbes. Lasts wash after wash.<br />
ANTI-PILLING<br />
Anti-pilling finish reduces the forming of pills (small, fuzzy balls of fibre) that form on<br />
fabrics and knitted products made from yarns with a synthetic fibre content like Polyester.<br />
ANTI-SNAGGING<br />
Anti-snagging reduces defects caused by the pulling or plucking of yarn from a<br />
fabric surface. The snagging of a specific fabric in actual wear varies by individual wearer<br />
and general condition of use.

Anti-static finishing can prevent the electrostatic charge of synthetic fibres during both<br />

ANTI-UV: SPF 50+<br />
The Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) indicates how much UV radiation (both UVB and<br />
UVA) a fabric allows to reach the skin. Our UPF 50 fabrics block 98% of the sun’s rays<br />
and allow 2% to penetrate, thus reducing exposure risk significantly.<br />
BREATHABILITY<br />
FABRIC CATALOGUE<br />
Breathability is the ability for vapour to escape from under the garment, keeping the user<br />
cool. It is determined by thickness of fabric, size of pores, strength of the thread and the<br />
design of the entire yarn. A breathable garment is deal for low-intensity physical activities.<br />
CHLORINE RESISTANT<br />
Chlorine Resistant fabric can last 20 times longer than conventional swimwear fabric.<br />
When exposed to chlorine and prolonged sun exposure, our fabrics experience less<br />
deterioration of Polyester/ Spandex blend.

Moisture-Wicking fabrics pull moisture away from the skin using tiny, built-in capillaries.<br />

A Quick Dry finishing combines three aspects: The absorbency (draws moisture into fabric),<br />
wicking (siphons moisture away from the body) and the drying rate (evaporation of moisture<br />

WATER-REPELLENT<br />
Water-repellent fabrics keep you safe in the rain while still providing you with breathability.<br />
The water-repellency will cause liquids to move away rather than soaking into the material.<br />
GRS CERTIFICATES<br />
We only work with GRS-certified factories. The certification secures that the<br />
factories are really using recycled materials and regulates good working<br />
conditions, the chemical usage and the environmental impact of the factory.
