Why Us?

DOMVS pools the skills of the highest performing estate agents with a mission to stand out in a crowded

market - people who listen and deliver a service better than clients could imagine. Directors Polly and Neil

Greenway, with around 60 years’ experience between them, are behind this successful formula.

We are thriving because we work hard and smart. Results speak louder than words. We’re professional, agile,

forward-thinking and we embrace technology, listening and reacting throughout your transaction.

Clients have said they would never use another agent, and that’s the sort of feedback we strive for. It makes

the personal attention worth the effort.

Fine & Country

As professionals in property, we are proud to be part of the Fine & Country network. With a 300-strong branch

presence internationally and an extensive office in Park Lane, Mayfair, our Fine & Country association plays an

important role.

Not only is Fine & Country Park Lane a smart office with an impressive 40-foot frontage (try driving down Park

Lane - you can’t miss it!), but it enables us to provide our clients with exclusive access to the London market

and London property experts, as well as the international market beyond. A wide pool of potential buyers

means a better result for you; not rocket science, but an important part of the care and attention we provide.

Property Marketing

Websites are important; we know that. It’s why, in addition to our own website, domvs.co.uk, our properties

appear on rightmove.co.uk, onthemarket.com, fineandcountry.com and, when relevant, horseandhound.com.

Then there’s the ever-growing social media. We are active on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and our own news

feed, engaging with potential buyers and our local communities.

Despite the digital age in which we live, we know that a high percentage of our buyers first saw their new

home in a printed publication before investigating it further online. Our PR department regularly secures

editorial coverage in a range of high profile newspapers and magazines, and works hard at maintaining those

all-important relationships. When it comes to securing column inches for our vendors, we aim - and achieve

- high, and would be delighted to show you a selection of creative articles from our local and national press

Land Experts on Your Doorstep

Location, and therefore land, is a key part of any development. DOMVS Director, Neil Greenway, is a land and

development expert with an architecture background - a true all-rounder. He and his team enjoy a remarkable

track record for finding the “sweet spot” of a project. There’s no substitute for experience, and it’s what sets

DOMVS apart when it comes to:

- Land sales and acquisitions

- Development and re-development

- Marketing

- Single plots, greenfield and brownfield developments

- Conversions and refurbishments

- Independent advice at every stage

- Feasibility studies to establish revenue opportunities and appraisals

Auctions are a tried-and-tested way of buying and selling property. We offer two different types:

- Traditional Auction: On the fall of the gavel, the successful bidder pays a 10% deposit and is legally bound

to buy the property. Completion is within 28 days. The seller is also legally bound to sell. This type of auction

favours cash buyers and investors and is held at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London six times a year.

- Network E: An alternative way of buying and selling property. A new online auction combining the speed and

certainty of traditional auctions with the best aspects of an estate agency sale. The winning bidder secures

an Exclusivity Agreement; a fixed period (normally four weeks) in which to arrange a survey and finance prior

to exchanging contracts, safe in the knowledge they will not be gazumped. At the close of the auction, the

exclusivity agreement is formed granting the winning bidder time to secure any necessary finance before

exchanging contracts - during this period the seller undertakes not to sell to anyone else. The winning bidder

pays a deposit of 1% of the purchase price (subject to a minimum £3,500) for the agreement in part payment

for the property, and the exclusivity arrangement fee of £2,000 including VAT. The seller has a serious buyer

who is committed to the transaction and the buyer knows their purchase is secure.

DOMVS will help you determine which auction is best for you. In the first instance, a negotiator from our

Residential Sales department will appraise your house and circumstances. Thereafter, our auctioneer will visit

the property to ensure you have full guidance to help you with the next step.

We believe successful property specialists really understand their area. We are dealing with people’s homes,

and our philosophy is to make sure we match the property to the person and vice versa.

To achieve this, we work hard to get to know an area and the people within it. That’s why you will see our

roadside boards supporting and promoting various events across the county just about twelve months a year.

Each year we support over 25 local events, from school fêtes to Dorchester Literary Festival and Open for Art.

As well as this, the team at DOMVS provide over one hundred hours of volunteer support each year to local

Dorset charities. We have also donated many thousands of pounds to local charities as part of our community

To us, ‘community’ is at the heart of our ethos.

Virtual Reality Property Tours

As the first property agent in the south of England to introduce Virtual Reality Property Tours, DOMVS now

offers buyers a fully immersive viewing experience. Using our VR headset, buyers can now ‘walk’ around a

property without leaving the DOMVS office, or can view online from the comfort of their own homes.

We create Virtual Reality Property Tours in the same way as we conduct the rest of our business; calmly,

efficiently and professionally. We believe it is essential we present your home as you see it yourself.

VR tours are recorded by our negotiators using a 360° video camera. By placing the camera in the centre of

the room, we are able to show the property in much the same way as we would to a client; we can walk around

each room and highlight notable features and details, aiding the viewer in imagining the property as if it were

their own. This creates a seamless and, more importantly, natural experience for the viewer, allowing them to

fully appreciate the property to its fullest.

As our tours are video rather than a set of images, we are able to ‘escort’ viewers around the property, rather

than simply providing them with an interactive view of the interior. This is an essential part of our aim to make

the experience more immersive and enjoyable for the prospective buyer, and allows us to offer a more effective

London Day

Nationally, our association with Fine & Country and its network of 300 national and international offices plays

an extremely important part in our approach to property. The Fine & Country office in Park Lane, Mayfair has a

strategic role in ensuring your property reaches an extensive national and international audience.

We often showcase properties by sending our own DOMVS representatives to the Park Lane office to give

expert advice to those looking to migrate to this wonderful county. London-based buyers have the opportunity

to talk to the people who know Dorset best and, using our Virtual Reality Property Tours, are able to view our

properties from over 120 miles away.

Don’t just take our word for it. Here’s a small selection of what our sales and lettings clients say about us:

‘This is the second time we have had the pleasure in using DOMVS as our agents to sell our

property, we cannot stress enough about the superb service we received on both occasions. From

start to finish the girls who did our viewings were superb and always kept us informed but the

service we received from Tim Grainger was outstanding, he went above and beyond to ensure our

move went as smoothly as possible. One of if not the best estate agents in and around Weymouth

and worth every penny. Highly recommend this company.’ Mrs Holdsworth (Preston Office)

‘Trisha is the most personable and genuine estate agent I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

She is efficient, yet gentle with her approach and you will find she is tactful whilst still getting

things done. We felt she personally cared about our purchase going smoothly for both sides. I

recommend Trisha as an exceptional estate agent.’ Mrs Parker (Wareham Office)

‘I do not write testimonials but felt I just had to in this case. Polly gave us a lot of advice about

dressing the house for the photo-shoot which was extremely helpful. A small change of furniture

positioning, setting the dining table, comfy seating and drinks positioned on the patio etcetera

made an enormous difference to the whole look and feel of the house and garden. The final brochure

photographs were stunning and quite made us want to live there?... DOMVS personally conducted

all of the potential buyers for the viewings with us being out of the house every time. They kept

us informed on the buyer’s views and opinions and when an offer was made and accepted they

phoned at least once a week with updates on the current situation in the whole buying chain. I

would certainly not hesitate to recommend them.’ Mr Forster (Dorchester Office)

‘As a landlord I can recommend DOMVS. DOMVS have been letting and managing my property

very professionally for the last three years. I also appreciate their enthusiasm in the job they do. I

would highly recommend Debbie Turner to any landlord and Tenant ’ Mrs Lugg (Lettings)

‘Debbie Turner, of the lettings department, has given me outstanding service in the management

of a (property) I have been letting. She has not just been there for me in the good time, she has gone

the extra mile when we have had problems. I would recommend her to anyone..’ Mrs Croft (Lettings)
