The hike leads over the Kitzbühel Alps into the Hohe Tauern National Park. The area is

getting rougher and rougher, the cliffs are steeper and in the distance the iron-clad peaks

of the three thousand metre high peaks and ever closer peaks of the Dolomites are

approaching. Via the Gsieser Törl you finally cross from Austria to Italy. Past lush alpine

pastures and huts, the route leads down into the Casies Valley. The stage destination is

not far away and at the end of the tour another highlight awaits you: the Three Peaks,

which are located in the middle of the UNESCO World Heritage "Dolomites".

the first part of the SalzAlpenSteig (English: “Salt Alps Path”) from beautiful Lake Chiemsee

old, regional tracks to a cross-border long-distance path which reaches from lake Chiemsee,

tour covers the last stages from Golling to the prehistoric salt-mining centre of Hallstatt.
