Daily God Walk - Promises Series
In this series of the Daily God Walk devotional we
are looking at the promises in the word of God and the
hope they give us in our daily walk. There are 12 books
of devotions in this series. A book a month.
When we look at the world around us we can easily
see hopelessness on the rise. In the county where I live
there is high unemployment and 21 percent of the
people are addicted to drugs, alcohol, or both.
There have been so many empty promises given by
politicians that people no longer believe in them. The
economy is in the tank. With the divorce rate hovering
around 50 percent people have lost confidence in even
the oldest institution mankind has known.
What does all of this mean? It means that if we
don’t find something to hope in mankind is doomed to
a desperate existence living lonely, confused and
hopeless lives.
That is why we are looking at the hope contained in
the promises of God during this yea r. It is our hope
that you will find something to live for and that you
will discover God’s plan for your life.
In Jeremiah 29:11 God says, “I know the plans I
have for you. Plans to prosper you and not to harm
you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
We pray that the devotions for this year will reveal
God’s faithfulness and give you hope for the future.
