Got Milk?” commercials
started coming on October
29, 1993. These commercials
which varied in sub-themes
and well-known characters,
emphasized what man often
fails to analyze in their own
lives. What is missing that
will provide for you a full and
F E A T U R E
The “Got Milk” commercials emphasize
only a few seconds in a person’s life.
The average life of 70 years boils down
to 91,980,000 seconds. That’s only for a
life spanning 70-years. But many
people live past 80 and 90 years old.
The oldest living person as of March 14,
2020 is 117-year-old Kana Tanaka of
Japan. But even if one lives a shorter
life, we all want quality, and to have the
things we need.
So, it’s crucial to analyze what’s
missing in our lives in order to have a
full and productive “dirt Life”, and one
that would lead to a grand eternal life
after our dirt body returns-“from
whence it came”-to the ground. All
this, a full, productive and a grand
eternal life, is available if we can
adequately deal with what we lack. Got
Having everything you need can be of
the utmost importance, but the place of
conflict is understanding what you
need, why, where to get it and what
impact it will have on time spent
outside of living in our dirt suits - yes
It is the manual and the manual itself points out in Matthew
4:4 “It takes more than bread to stay alive. It takes a steady
stream of words from God’s mouth.”
Close your eyes and take a moment to focus on how
God made man. We are mind, body, and spirit. and
God made each one of us with a special space inside
of us that longs for a relationship with Him. Our
spirit longs for relationship, but we can fill that
space with anything we choose. It may not adequately
meet the need, or fill the space, but God made us
with free will and we make the choices we want.
It’s like knowing you need fuel in your car. Fuel must
be burned to produce power to run the car. Even
though the owner’s manual clearly says your car
requires gasoline, you look for a host of other fuels.
For example, in addition to gasoline, there is ethanol,
diesel fuel, biodiesel, hydrogen, natural, gas,
compressed natural gas, kerosene, and methanol.
And just as our cars need the right fuel, we do too.
Don't get It twisted, it is the manual and the manual itself
points out in Matthew 4:4 Jesus quoted from
Deuteronomy 6 “It takes more than bread to stay alive. It
takes a steady stream of words from God’s mouth.” GOT
Having access to something doesn’t necessarily mean
we’re receiving the fuel from it if we don’t consume it.
The top 10 you-Tube “Got Milk” Commercials reflect
either trying to get access to milk or having access to milk
but not being able to drink it. Consumption was missing.
The “Gotta Go to Work-Got Milk?” Commercial was
shown during Super Bowl XLVII. It featured Dwayne “The
Rock” Johnson as a superhero who passes up several
opportunities to save the day in order to get milk for
himself and his family. That was his sole focus. After he
finally gets the milk to nourish his family, he exclaims,
“Gotta go to work!”
God has not only made our beings to require fuel but
has told us what specifically we need. I can hear
some of you saying, that it is an awfully large manual
and most of It really does not apply.
Remembering that God made us with a need for the
nourishing fuel we need; my question to you as you face
life’s challenges is “Got Milk?”
God’s word is the manual needed to live on this earth and
in these dirt bodies which house our minds and our
spirits. And as we grapple with what happens once our
body returns to the ground, what’s next?
Jesus was known as the Second person of the Trinity; the Creator and Ruler of all
things. He is the One who left heaven, meek and mild and clothed in flesh. Jesus Christ
was born God in the flesh, who became a man without radiance or splendor. But,
wherever He went, He showed grace and mercy; love and forgiveness and power with
humility. People knew His voice and bowed to his authority. As he traveled the earth,
people sought out Jesus because:
The created found the creator
The lost were found
Orphans found their parent
The fearful found safety
The hungry found bread
The thirsty found water
The sick found the physician who
took their sickness on himself
The lame found the healer
The deaf had ears opened
The possessed had demons cast out
The sinner found salvation
The down in spirit found the one who
lifted their heads
The bound had their chains broken
Mourners found comfort
The lost found the right road
The condemned found pardon
The trapped found the way of escape
The brokenhearted found joy
The poor found the treasure
The captives were set free
The blind had sight restored
The dead found the resurrection
John 10:10 (AMP) The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy
life, and have it in abundance
1 Corinthians 11:1-2 (ESV) Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ. Now I commend you because you remember me
in everything and maintain the traditions even as I delivered them to you.
Matthew 16:24 (ESV) Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take
up his cross and follow me.
John 8:12 (ESV) Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in
darkness, but will have the light of life.”
1 Peter 1: 14-16 (ESV) As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as
he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”

WHERE ARE YOU GOD IN
THE MIDST OF CALAMITY?
As you know, a global outbreak of a respiratory disease named Coronavirus Disease 2019
(COVID-19) started in China in late 2019. The virus has been detected in more than 90 countries,
including the U.S. However, the situation is rapidly evolving and it is likely we will see more cases
across the U.S.
We want to have appropriate information and want to proceed with an abundance of caution!

Stay home if you are sick, and advise others to do the same.
Always cover coughs or sneezes with a tissue or sleeve.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
Wash your hands often with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol
if soap and warm water are not available.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces (computers, keyboards, desks, etc.).
But When That Is All Said & Done...
LORD WE LOOK TO YOU. . . REMEMBER:
PSALM 91: 1-19 (ERV)
You can go to God Most High to hide.
You can go to God All-Powerful for protection.
I say to the Lord, “You are my place of safety, my fortress.
My God, I trust in you.”
God will save you from hidden dangers and from deadly diseases.
You can go to him for protection.
He will cover you like a bird spreading its wings over its babies.
You can trust him to surround and protect you like a shield.
You will have nothing to fear at night
and no need to be afraid of enemy arrows during the day.
You will have no fear of diseases that come in the dark
or terrible suffering that comes at noon.
A thousand people may fall dead at your side
or ten thousand right beside you,
but nothing bad will happen to you!
All you will have to do is watch,
and you will see that the wicked are punished.
You trust in the Lord for protection.
You have made God Most High your place of safety.
So nothing bad will happen to you.
No diseases will come near your home.
He will command his angels to protect you wherever you go.
Their hands will catch you
so that you will not hit your foot on a rock.
You will have power to trample on lions and poisonous snakes.
The Lord says, “If someone trusts me, I will save them.
I will protect my followers who call to me for help.
When my followers call to me, I will answer them.
I will be with them when they are in trouble.
I will rescue them and honor them.
I will give my followers a long life and
show them my power to save.”

Troubles will come and they will go. Regardless of the situation, it is imperative that we
move forward. Amid the 2019 Coronavirus, we must carry on with doing that which is
important to the health and welfare of our community. Your education and progress in how
you are to contribute to this society must continue to be the focus regardless of the
distractions that they may come our way.
As we are challenged with the personal losses of possibly friends and relatives, we must
continue to march on to reach the individual mark that God has placed before you. The
question becomes, ‘What has God called you today to contribute to the progress of
mankind’? But then you may say, "we are in the middle of a pandemic that has forced us all
to rethink how we live." Who has time to think about continuing to prepare for the future,
when we are just trying to survive today?
In the middle of the night about 2:00 am in the morning, I was awaken with a song in my
spirit crying out, “What a mighty fortress is our God!" What in the world was that all about? A
Mighty Fortress Is Our God is a hymn, with which many of you may not be familiar. It is a
hymn about Psalm 46 which was written in days when fortresses were the usual military
defense strategy, and “A Mighty Fortress” was written in the days of castles. These were the
metaphors used to describe God as our defense. He is mighty to guard, protect, and keep his
A Mighty Fortress Is Our God : Lyrics:
A mighty fortress is our God, a bulwark never failing Our Helper He, amid the flood of
mortal ills prevailing For still our ancient foe doth seek to work us woe His craft and
power are great, and, armed with cruel hate On earth is not his equal
Did we in our own strength confide, our striving would be losing Were not the right Man
on our side, the Man of God’s own choosing Dost ask who that may be? Christ Jesus, it is
He The Lord of hosts His name, from age to age the same And He must win the battle
And though this world with devils filled should threaten to undo us We will not fear, for
God hath willed His truth to triumph through us The Prince of Darkness grim, we
tremble not for him His rage we can endure, for lo, his doom is sure One little word
shall fell him
That word above all earthly pow’rs, no thanks to them, abideth The Spirit and the gifts
are ours through Him who with us sideth Let goods and kindred go, this mortal life
also The body they may kill; God’s truth abideth still His kingdom is forever
And this is how he’ll meet his end: Our ancient, strong, hateful, enemy will fall by just one
little word. It’s debatable what single word this is referring to. I always assumed this was
talking about Satan’s end as described in Revelation 20:7-10. In this passage, Satan leads a
final rebellion against God after the Millennium, but this massive rebellion is snuffed out
in a moment by fire falling from heaven and wiping them out. The devil is then cast into
hell. Presumably, God gave “the word” to end him. Satan is a woefully powerful enemy
that will be crushed by a single word from our far more powerful God. The word of God
which shall fell Satan is “above all earthly powers.” This is talking now about human
powers that stand opposed to God, his word, and his people. “No thanks to them,” the
word is still alive and active. Plenty of people have sought to halt God’s powerful word.
But despite their opposition, the word of God is still supreme and powerful.
You will continue to do that which God has called you to do, you will pursue your dreams
to become all that his has planned, you will stand firm on the Word of God knowing that
He is in control regardless of how it may look. After all has been said and done, Power
Belongs To God! (Psalm 46:11). We encourage you to pursue your goals, seeking every
opportunity to advance for the Kingdom of God and the plans He has for you.

How Are You Feeling Today?
It is important for us to be able to recognize our mood and accurately describe how we
are feeling so that we are able to self reflect and decide whether or not we want to stay in
that feeling, or attempt to move to another quadrant.

SO WHAT DO YOU DO?
Identify How You’re Feeling
Sit quietly and take the time to notice the different emotions that you feel. Take note of any thoughts, images,
memories, and feelings that come to you. You have to ask yourself how you’re feeling and be open and
aware of what comes up. This is not the time to figure out why you are having these feelings, it is simply
being aware of your emotions. It may not come to you at first, and you may need to take a break and try
Acknowledging Your Feelings
If you know how you feel, let yourself know that in this moment it is okay. At this point it is not crucial to know
what the emotion is stemming from or even that you name the emotion. It is important that you acknowledge
the feeling and accept that this is how you feel. Let the emotion be there and breathe through it.
Identify the Source of Your Feelings
Know that you are not being “silly” or “irrational” for feeling how you feel. Your emotions are there for good
reason, this is the time where you turn inward and figure out what your feelings are connected to. When
asking yourself this question try not to analyse or judge what comes to you. Be open to the things you notice,
again it may be a memory, sound, or image. At times we may think we already know why we have a certain
feeling but oftentimes it goes deeper than what we think. Be patient with yourself. If nothing comes to you,
then it helps to just let yourself feel the emotion.
So you’ve identified how you’re feeling. Now What? Deciding what to do with your feelings may seem difficult
but this is crucial in order to stay in control of your actions regardless of how you’re feeling. The best course
of action is to express and release the way that you’re feeling. Bottling up emotions is detrimental to your
mental health, and can even affect you physically. Try writing down or drawing how you're feeling, allow your
emotion to take the lead, don’t censor yourself. It is also helpful to confide in a trusted and supportive friend.
If your emotions stem from a person, say out loud what your need to say to them. Be careful, the
conversation should be about expressing how you feel and not to be petty or malicious. If you need to cry,
give yourself permission to cry. If you need to scream, give yourself permission to scream. Dance, exercise,
jump, stomp, and kick, you will feel the weight of the emotion lift off your shoulders.
During emotional times, self care is crucial. Talk to yourself as you would a close friend, tell yourself the
things you need to hear in that moment, for example, “I’m okay, I am safe”. You must reassure yourself that
the emotion while valid will ultimately pass. Treat yourself to something nice, a bubble bath, massage, or a
nice meal. Curl up in your bed or even go exercise, whatever makes you feel safe and comfortable.
Is it time to move to another quadrant?
