For this year, all activities will be held on Sunday, September 18, including the rose show set-up, rose show, judging, buffet luncheon, business meeting, trophy and awards presentations and rose show tear-down. This AARS award recognizes new cultivars that are not only beautiful, but will be easy to grow and require minimal care by today’s consumer. To be chosen as an AAS winner, ‘Sunshine Daydream’ was outstanding during two years of testing in 21 gardens nationwide. It was evaluated in 15 categories, including disease resistance, vigor, fragrance and winter hardiness. This grandifl ora was outstanding in my garden during the 2011 growing season and is a very worthy garden rose. **** Roses In Review The 2011 Roses In Review survey form appears in the July-August issue of the American Rose Magazine. The report explains how to evaluate, score and report along with a list of the current cultivars. Everyone is encouraged to fi le a report, especially consulting rosarians, who are required to do so.
