What’s ‘You’ For 2020?
Over the last few years I have seen more and more of
my couples move away from the traditional dresses,
ceremonies, room layouts, menus, bouquet tosses
and drinks receptions in favour of creating more of an event
with an ambience and flare to be remembered for all its
unique traits that represent the couple and what their love
story is all about.
Couples are also more commonly
opting for a more tailored, minimal
vibe to their day, but that by no means
means sparse or simple…. oh no the
devil is now in the detail! This involves
creatively styling fewer objects with
calibrated colours, spacing and
heights.
To plan an aesthetic wedding now
means to look at it in its entirety as one
themed day, not just a simple let’s tick
each piece off the list, but rather let’s
tick each item of the list in coordination
with each other. How do we do that I
hear you ask? Well here
are my top tips to your unique, coordinated day packed with
detail and impact for both you and your guests to remember
with love:-
Choose your neutral base tones
For example, foliage and gold metals or cherry blossom and
ivory.
Choose your special features to accompany
your base
For example pearls, pampas grass,
glass, cotton, hessian, geometric styling,
black tones, holly berries, candles etc.
Choose your accent colour(s) & which
areas you want to create the main feature
of.
For example 2020 will see cake and drinks
receptions become an extravagant affair
that will catch every guest’s eye.
A theme of Pampas grass, white, blush and
eucalyptus and gold tones carried throughout,
while re-utilising the ceremony decor at
the reception.
