WITH EXPERIENCES
Dear Travelers,
The word for the year is most definitely “unprecedented” — by definition,
“without previous instance; never before known or experienced; unexampled or
unparalleled.”
I have heard and have spoken this word more than I can count these days, and
these have truly been trying times for everyone on every level.
There is no shortage of appreciation to send out during these times, and we want
to thank all of our health care workers, first responders, essential service providers
and all who have courageously continued working amidst this pandemic. Because
of these individuals, we can look forward to exploring the world again.
Over the past weeks, we have been gathering feedback, speaking with our guests
and reviewing the data from multiple surveys of our own and those of our industry
partners. This research has revealed a wide range of feelings regarding traveling.
While some are ready to get out from under their rock and go somewhere now,
others will wait a little longer, and some even longer still—but the consensus
overall is people are looking forward to traveling again.
Our world has changed and because the health and wellbeing of our valued
guests is of utmost importance, we have established new procedures for our trips.
This involves adhering to new guidelines and partnering with industry affiliates
who are proactively practicing extra sanitation procedures. This will be an ongoing
process that will be evaluated and tweaked as time goes on and we learn more.
social distance style!
Although our business, and the travel industry as a whole has been negatively
impacted by the pandemic; much has changed — resilience and adaptation
are the new reality. Going through something like this forces reinvention and a
call to action. This is not a simple venture, especially when you lack control over
your circumstances! We have worked with our industry affiliates and we have
developed our own Care and Wellness Pledge to do all that we can to keep our
travelers comfortable as we start to explore again. Details can be found on page 4
or at ambassadair.com/carewellnesspledge.
Though our actual travels have slowed over the past months, our travel planning
has not. We have been working hard on future adventures for you, our valued
clients. We are here for you when you are ready to go. Please enjoy this digital
version of our Trips magazine. Our team is ready to answer any questions you may
have. Just call (317) 581-1122 or you may email us at info@ambassadair.com.
We look forward to exploring the world together again!
Most of us think of Newport, Rhode Island as a summer
destination, touring opulent Gilded Age “summer
cottages” and the Naval Station Newport. But “America’s
Oldest Resort” town is much more than that. Christmas in Newport
is a community collaboration fostering the historic traditions of
the holiday season. The social scene by the turn of the century
was organized by some of the nation’s wealthiest families who
summered in Newport. People of great wealth – the Astors,
Wideners and Vanderbilts, among them – built the mansions as
summer homes. This was the time described by Edith Wharton in
her novel The Age of Innocence. Ambassadair takes you to some of
the season’s best celebrations and decorated mansions to inspire
and delight.
Highlights Include:
• Witness The Elms and Marble House adorned with periodinspired
decorations
• Experience Holiday Evenings event at The Breakers
• Christmas show at the Newport Playhouse
