Jesus‛ Kingdom Spiritual Law of Responsibility “To whom much is given, much is required.” - Jesus in Luke 12:48 I saw a saying recently that bothered me, “If you were hurt by the church, you were trying to please men not GOD.” It sounds like the Church has no more responsibility for hurting people than your social group that gets together once a week. It‛s flippant and shows a complete lack of understanding for whom the Church represents. Writing to someone else helped me discover why I disliked that saying so much. This is what I wrote to my friend: You‛ve expressed how you were hurt by the Church and I understand where you are coming from. If you were only hurt by the Church, it would be easier to recover. Like me, you were hurt by the Church thinking they were speaking for GOD. Believing that GOD finds us lacking and unacceptable (and He made us to be lacking and unacceptable) is a deeper wound than His Church could ever cause us. Fortunately, the Church is wrong and GOD is better than we can imagine. I know He adores you and sees you as His masterpiece. Taking on the mantle of speaking for and interpreting GOD for others without deconstructing your beliefs into consistent, bite-sized building blocks that are consistent when you zoom in to look at details and zoom out to see the big picture has consequences. Speaking on behalf of GOD without being zealous for His Honor and to accurately represent His Character and Name should not be undertaken lightly. We, the Church / Team Jesus, need to apologize and repent for being part of a Christian Temple system that picked winners and losers. It manipulated people and that is anti-Jesus! It‛s not enough to empty our sin buckets in private to GOD. We need to be part of the healing process and acknowledge that we‛ve misrepresented GOD. I have found that the humiliation of apologizing publicly for being stupid keeps me more attentive to not being stupid in the future. Team Jesus apologizes to Jews, other races, women, and non-heterosexual orientations. However GOD makes us is up to GOD. How we treat others is up to us. Taking responsibility for our beliefs and actions without blaming others (including GOD and the Bible) is a sign of maturity. We can be wrong and the world won‛t fall apart. GOD‛s got this. To all who have sought shelter and protection under the wings of GOD and were found lacking and unacceptable by His representatives deserve our collective apology. We have misrepresented GOD out of ignorance and sometimes intentionally. There is also fear to disagree with the common view and I apologize for our cowardice and anti-Jesus-like behavior of thinking about ourselves and our reputations and not about what was best for you. Team Jesus asks for your forgiveness and hopes to earn your trust in the future. Even if you can‛t trust Jesus‛ Church, I hope you will connect directly with Jesus. He is a Treasure who is eager for a personal relationship with you and able to heal the wounds we have caused. May Your will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. In Jesus‛ Name, amen! Jesus . . . I‛m scared! I know. But you know that I adore you. We‛ve done this before. What‛s happened every time you stepped off this cliff? Have I ever been unfaithful? “If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.” - Jesus in Matthew 16:25 (NLT). 56 Thank you, Pat Robertson, for teaching about the Spiritual Laws of Responsibility.

I saw a saying recently that bothered me, “If you were hurt by the church, you were trying to please men not
GOD.” It sounds like the Church has no more responsibility for hurting people than your social group that gets
together once a week. It‛s flippant and shows a complete lack of understanding for whom the Church represents.
You‛ve expressed how you were hurt by the Church and I understand where you are coming from. If you
were only hurt by the Church, it would be easier to recover. Like me, you were hurt by the Church thinking
they were speaking for GOD. Believing that GOD finds us lacking and unacceptable (and He made us to be
lacking and unacceptable) is a deeper wound than His Church could ever cause us. Fortunately, the Church
