PHOTOGRAPHYWHAT IS BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHY?MORE THAN NUDITYBoudoir photography is becoming moreand more popular, with photo shoots andboudoir albums making excellentwedding day gifts for your futurehusband. “Boudoir” is the French wordfor a lady’s private dressing room orbedroom and in photography terms,boudoir photography is a style in whichwomen pose for photographs partiallyclothed or in lingerie. The photos aretasteful and nudity is typically impliedrather than explicit. That means you’renot wearing much of anything, but you’realso not showing off anything either.PLANNING THE PHOTOSHOOTPlanning a boudoir shoot can be a fun wayto indulge and take some time out fromwedding planning. Just like a bridal portraitsession, it is worth investing in the detailslike hair, makeup, nails and even a spray tan.It’s also important to choose outfits thatmake you feel confident and sexy. If you bringin outfits too far outside your comfort zone,you may struggle with being comfortable andit will show in your face and body languagein the resulting photos. To prepare for thesession, you can do a bit of searching on theinternet for poses you might like to try, but agood boudoir photographer will have somesuggestions of their own.Boudoir photographers are mastersof creating elegant, sensual and classyimages of you in your lingerie. As withyour wedding photographer, findinga boudoir photographer that you arecompletely at ease with is important, orthe session won’t be worth it.
