is an answer to every question,
science can solve every problem,
and when technology continues
to evolve. When we thought experts
have explanations to the
earth’s riddles in a flick of a finger,
fate made a sudden turn and presented
us with a dilemma we
haven’t encountered before.
Now that we are breathing proof
of a monumental part of world
history, we need to make our
memoir. The pandemic is a story
for us to tell.
Why should
you record
your days?
The novel coronavirus took over
the world with thousands losing
their lives and their livelihood. It
shaped us in ways no one could
ever imagine in their existence.
Nobody expected that a virus
would affect the world in this degree.
We are in an era when there
The moment will come historians
would revise books with the pandemic
playing a vital role in the
modern age. They will use the Internet
and other media outlets as
references.
But we should not leave everything
to them. Let us chronicle
the stories that transpired in our
lives. It seems insignificant, considering
the enormity of the problem.
History books do not have
the colorful imagery of living it.
They state facts.. What they failed
to catch is the feelings, the
thoughts, and the reflections of
people going through.

Pour your heart
in the lovely
pages of your
book until your
hand hurts
from the effort.
Write in a
journal.
There is no better time to write
than now. You don’t need to be a
prolific writer to do so. It only requires
a subject to write. Pour
your heart in the lovely pages of
your book until your hand hurts
from the effort. You will appreciate
the idea of keeping a record
of your new temporary life, putting
to paper your routine, feelings,
and thoughts. The activity
gives a little structure to your life
cooperates, if you spend your
time with a good read, or if your
nephew decides to throw his toys
at you.
Now you have a journal that talks
about everything that went
through your quarantine period.
The activity
gives a little
structure to
your life that
seems to crumble
to pieces.
that seems to crumble to pieces.
You don’t have to plan and
overthink it. There is no need to
go deep and wide. Start by detailing
parts of your day. Write your
plan. What will you do today?
What are you eating for breakfast?
Are you taking the last of
your yogurt supplies? You can also
narrate your day as it goes, if

Maybe you don’t have a way with
words and would rather see the
world more visually. Use your mobile
phone camera to immortalize
the moments that depict the situation.
Have you tried waiting in
long lines for a few minutes of
grocery shopping? Take a photo
of that line. Or have you been out
at night and thought you are
transported in a different world
because no one is out? Capture
the empty road. But it does not
always have to be bleak. You can
turn your influencer’s dream into
reality by taking pictures of what
you do every day - from your sophisticated
daster OOTD, or the
banana bread you baked,
or the work from home set-up
you crafted.
Going the extra mile and got a
printer at home? Print your photos
and put together a scrapbook
of your life in quarantine.
Take photos
(lots of it).

Write your
stories online.
Start a Vlog.
Another way of writing is by putting
them in a blog. Many claimed
that blogging is dead, but it not
the case. Blogging is very much
alive, giving us options with a variety
of platforms to choose from.
There is WordPress, Tumblr,
Squarespace, and Blogspot if you
want to build your website and
document your life through curated
photos and long-form essays. If
making a website is a chore, you
can always go to social media sites
such as Facebook, Instagram, or
Twitter to try microblogging. You
only need words and some photos
and hit upload.
With the continuous evolution of
content creation, people began to
express themselves through
vlogs, coined from the play of
words video and blog. If you are
comfortable talking in front of the
camera, you may get your hands
to this activity. Record yourself
baking the notorious ube-cheese
pandesal or transforming into a
plantita with your growing plant
collection.
You can also talk about your observations,
thoughts, and realizations
to stir emotions in the pit of
the hearts of your viewers. All you
need is a phone, editing software
of choice, and a good story to tell.

Make a souvenir box
(and hide it somewhere
in the yard).
Souvenir boxes are most commonly
used to store ephemera
from trips and events such as
boarding passes, concert tickets,
and invitations, among others.
You made a lot of these boxes as
you go on adventures and make
memorable moments with your
loved ones. You cannot travel or
hold parties but it does not mean
you won’t fill in our souvenir boxes.
Moments are how you make
them be. It does not matter if it is
a an extravagant trip abroad or a
simple board game night with the
family. What is essential is the
time and effort spent to make the
moment as unforgettable as you
can.
What can you keep in
your souvenir box?
List of the shows you bingewatched
on Netflix.
Recipe for a dish you made using
creative substitutions
Description of the craziest or
most out-of-the-box game or
activity you created with your
family
A souvenir of some of the activities
you did with the family.
An example is a Scrabble
score sheet.
A photo that depicts life in
quarantine
A letter to the next generation
describing how is it like to live
during a pandemic
A copy of the passes, IDs, and
certifications you used exclusively
during this quarantine
