Dear Students,
Welcome to Columbus College of Art & Design and welcome to the next step on your creative
journey. CCAD is a top art and design college in the U.S., with a 141-year tradition of helping
emerging artists and designers harness their talents and create work that will change their
lives, and the world, for the better.
At CCAD, you’ll get access to the tools and the people who will help you make your vision real.
That means state-of-the-art facilities. It also means access to our talented faculty, practicing
artists and designers with deep and broad industry connections and a love for helping students
grow. It means being part of a student body of artists and designers who have a creative drive,
talent, and an ambition to improve culture and commerce in Columbus and around the world.
It means being in a place where you’ll be supported holistically, with healthy practices (think
sleep, mental and physical health, and more) at the core of your development.
And whether you pursue a curriculum that’s online or one that incorporates in-person classes,
our community is small enough that you’ll build meaningful connections with other students,
faculty, and staff outside of your major—but it’s also large enough to attract a diverse student
body from around the world.
Our hometown, Columbus, is the 14th-largest U.S. city and is a place where you’ll find big-city
culture and amenities paired with Midwestern warmth and openness. You’ll be at the center
of cultural and civic activities and in the perfect spot to land an internship at one of the many
companies headquartered here.
As a CCAD student, you’re part of a network of creative achievers, alumni who are there
to help you realize your aspirations, from taking the reins at a nonprofit, running your own
business, landing gallery shows, reimagining a brand through design, capturing moments with
photography or video, and more. Our alumni and corporate partners will help you secure jobs
right out of college—or, in some cases, well before you graduate.
