Brazil’s rural <strong>in</strong>surance market is also highly concentrated among a few companies. Figure 6<br />

shows the market share of each <strong>in</strong>surance company <strong>in</strong> the total premiums focused only on<br />

rural <strong>in</strong>surances for agriculture, livestock, and forestry for the year 2019. Only 14 <strong>in</strong>surers<br />

were present dur<strong>in</strong>g that year. One company - Brasilseg Companhia de Seguros 6 l<strong>in</strong>ked to Banco<br />

do Brasil - represents more than 52.3% of the market share for rural <strong>in</strong>surance.<br />

its <strong>in</strong>surance companies, operates <strong>in</strong> the Life, Hous<strong>in</strong>g, Rural, and Massified (Residential, Corporate, and Condom<strong>in</strong>ium) segments with products sold<br />

ma<strong>in</strong>ly at Banco do Brasil branches and on its digital channels.<br />
