Sports Coaching Science

Our Sports Coaching Science team can

provide a range of CPD opportunities, which

are pitched at differing levels appropriate to

the needs of differing levels of coach.

These courses are also appropriate for the Physical

Education Teacher who wishes to upskill their

knowledge in coaching in order to implement and

deliver extra-curricular coaching activities.

Our Sport, Exercise and Coaching Science

were one of the first institutions in the UK to develop

a sports studies programme.

These CPD opportunities are in the form of three

and are further enhanced by a strong research and

consultancy profile in sport, exercise and coaching

from the British Association of Sport and Exercise

Sciences (BASES), and are also professional coaches

and coach educators. Continuing professional

development (CPD) is fundamental in the

development of the coach and coaching practice.

These short courses are delivered either in a

workshop, seminar or practical format by highly

qualified coaches.
