LIVING ON CAMPUS With its historic buildings, Lowry Woods walking pathway, large turtles sunning by the Texas Pond, and a bike-friendly atmosphere, TWU’s Denton campus is known for its beauty and as one of the safest colleges in the nation and state, according to the National Council for Home Safety and Security. Our students who live on campus feel like a part of the university community, have greater satisfaction with their college experience, perform better academically and are more likely to graduate. twu.edu/housing CARE OFFICE TWU’s Campus Alliance for Resource Education (CARE) is a support center for commuters, transfer students, veterans, adult learners, online learners and students with families. twu.edu/care ACADEMIC & HONORARY ORGANIZATIONS Academic organizations provide activities and opportunities for students to network with professionals in their chosen fields. Honorary organizations recognize outstanding academic achievement and connect high-achieving students at the local, regional and global levels. DINING OPTIONS Pioneer Kitchen has options available for all tastes and preferences. Enjoy Starbucks in the library, grab a salad on the go, hang with friends at Chick-fil-A or Qdoba in the new Student Union at Hubbard Hall, or relax at Oakland Cafe.
