MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN

..... ....

......

........... .......... ......... ........ .......

............

The Foundation for Children with Hearing

Loss in SA changes the lives of families.

............

..........

........

......

....

Giving the gift of hearing to one family member changes the entire

dynamic of a family – no more misunderstanding, no longer any

feelings of being left out, no more silence.

The Foundation has had a very successful year, helping numerous

hearing-impaired children and adults with limited means. (Click the

links below to experience some of their life-changing moments.)

Our work would not have been possible without the help and

support of our donors and partners – we would like to thank you on

behalf of the Foundation and all recipients, young and old.

You are truly changing lives. Thank you for your generosity!

VISION & MISSION

The Foundation was established in

1997 with the God-given vision to

make a difference in deaf education

for children, internationally. Since

the inception of the Foundation, the

vision has been expanded to include

our support towards deaf adults and

online training in deaf education.

Who are we?

At present, the Foundation continues to

change lives by raising funds for inclusive deaf

education and cochlear implant procedures for

both children and adults. To further our vision,

various organisations and platforms were created,

including:

• The establishment of a model for inclusive

education internationally;

• Fundraising for the establishment of the Eduplex

private mainstream schools;

Thanks to modern technology

(hearing aids, cochlear implants,

classroom amplification systems) at

Eduplex, deaf children are included

in a mainstream environment

where they learn alongside their

normal-hearing friends without sign

language.
