STEP 1.

INSTALLATION

Disconnect & remove the battery. Following this, remove the front bumper, bumper supports and if applicable,

the factory undertray. Once the front bumper is removed, proceed to remove the factory intercooler and piping.

For full instructions see your vehicles user manual or seek a professional.

STEP 2.

As demonstrated in Fig.1, proceed to trim both chassis

rail ends. If you do not wish to trim the chassis rail

ends you will need to space the intercooler out further

with custom brackets. NOTE: This will require further

modification to your front bumper. We reccomend that

an anti corrosion paint is applied to all exposed steel

after cutting to prevent rust damage.

Fig. 1

Ensure the appropriate safety equipment is utilized while

performing this step. Fenix is not liable for any personal

injury due to incorrect use of tools during the installation of

Fenix Performance products.

STEP 3.

Ensuring the battery is disconnected and

removed, cut a 80mm hole into the battery tray

following the measurements in Fig.2. This will

allow the intercooler pipe [B-1] to pass through.

Fig. 2

NOTE: A smaller battery & clamp (not included) will be

required to suit this kit.

Ensure the appropriate safety equipment is utilized while

performing this step. Fenix is not liable for any personal

injury due to incorrect use of tools during the installation of

Fenix Performance products.

STEP 4.

Remove the factory washer bottle and brackets. Rotating the washer bottle 90° counter-clockwise from it’s

original position, re-mount the washer bottle using the upper [E-1] & lower [E-2] brackets, x4 M6 bolts [G] , x4 washers [J]

& x3 nuts [I] as demonstrated in Fig. 3. NOTE: For wheel clearance you will need to trim the area marked in Fig.4.

STEP 5.

INSTALLATION

Install the Street Series intercooler [A] using x2 M6 bolts [G] & washers [J] for the lower mounts (Fig.5) & a single M8

bolt [H] & washer [K] for the upper mount. For additional clearance we reccomend you install the 20mm spacer [F]

on the upper mount as seen in Fig.6. NOTE: Horns may need to be relocated depending on the model & size.

STEP 6.

Fig. 5 Fig. 6

Install the alloy intercooler piping on the intake side as pictured in Fig.7 & Fig. 8 utilising the silicone joiners &

hose clamps supplied. Repear this process on the turbo side following Fig. 9 & Fig. 10. NOTE: We reccomend

you install the hose clamps loosely to ensure correct allignment throughout the system prior to a final tighten.

STEP 7.

INSTALLATION

Connect your blow off valve (BOV) to the larger

branched pipe on the cold-side intercooler pipe [B-1] . If

you are not utilising a BOV, this pipe will need to be

blocked off to prevent a leak in the intercooler system.

The smaller branched pipe connects to your IACV (Idle

Air Control Valve) - Fig.11..

Fig.11

STEP 8.

Utilising the supplied vacuum hose [F] , connect your

boost solenoid or wastegate to a reliable vacuum

source. Two vacuum tees are supplied [N] & [O] which

can be used to branch off an existing supply (i.e) the

carbon canister vacuum line on an S14 Silvia or the

BOV vacuum line on an S15 Silvia. Secure with cable

ties [O] (Fig.12).

Fig. 12

We highly reccomend that a boost guage is installed when

making any modifications to a turbo vehicle. Failure to

supply the boost solenoid or wastegate with a correct

vacuum source can result in boost-spiking & engine damage,

STEP 9.

Trim front bumper and bumper supports, the amount to be removed varies across models and bumper types

so we reccomend you trim small amounts at a time to ensure that the structural integrity of your bumper and

bumper support is not degraded.

Rules & regulations with regards to the modification of your bumper and / or bumper supports can vary depending on the country

you reside in. If in doubt, consult a professional for advice before performing any modifications.

STEP 10.

Re-connect & re-install the battery. Prior to re-installation of the front bumper, we reccomend you start the

vehicle and ensure there are no leaks from the intercooler system. Once the system has been tested for leaks,

re-install front bumper and if applicable the undertray.

CONGRATULATIONS!

YOU HAVE SUCCESFULLY INSTALLED THE

FENIX STREET SERIES INTERCOOLER KIT.
