Football
Senior John Allen was a two-year starter
for the varsity football team. As an outside
linebacker, John completed the regular
season ranked second on the team in
tackles. As injuries piled up on the Tigers
during the year, John stepped up to become
an important cog on both sides of the ball,
becoming one of only a few young men
to play an important role on both offense
and defense. His leadership, integrity, and
humility led to his selection as a Saint Xavier
Student Ambassador. He is the Social Chair
for the Saint Xavier Student Council and an
avid participant in intramurals. He continues
to do volunteer work within the community
and participates in Project Warm.
Cross Country
Austin Carter was a consistent
performer for the top ranked 2010 Tiger
cross country squad all season. A four-year
letterman in both Cross Country and Track,
Austin used his experience and leadership
to help the Tiger Harriers capture a state
championship in 2009 and a team runner-up
finish in 2010. During the 2010 track
season, he was a member of the 2009
KY 3A State Champion 4 x 800 meter
relay team that holds the school record of
7:56. He has received multiple All-State and
Academic All-State honors in both sports.
Additionally, Austin is a member of National
Honor Society and Peer Leaders at St. X.
Outside of school, he does volunteer work
with Dare to Care Food Bank, Apple Patch
Community, Kosair Children’s Hospital and
Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve.
