primark - Kassim
On 15 June, workers protesting the dismissal
of 35 of their co-workers at the Primark
supplier Kassim Garments in Karachi,
Pakistan, were fired at by the factory guards.
Four workers were injured and rushed to the
hospital. When the police arrived, not the
guards, but fifteen of the workers were
arrested.
Eventually, the workers were released, but we
would like to hear from Primark: does this
mean now all is fine in this factory?
Are workers fully paid and have dismissed
workers been compensated?
