Basketball Head Coach, is

a respected leader in high

school basketball, known

for his extensive experience,

track record of success, and

unwavering commitment to

player development and academic excellence.

During his distinguished tenure as Head Coach at Gonzaga

College High School in Washington, D.C., Coach Turner built

one of the nation’s premier basketball programs. Under

his leadership, Gonzaga captured multiple conference

championships, produced elite collegiate and professional

talent, and cultivated a culture of integrity and excellence

both on and off the court. His coaching résumé also includes

work with USA Basketball, where he has helped shape toptier

athletes for national and international competition.

Coach Turner’s philosophy emphasizes the holistic growth

of student-athletes—fostering success on the court, in the

classroom, and in life.

As Director of the Center for

Basketball Development,

Austin Kelley brings a wealth of

collegiate and developmental

experience to Montverde

Academy. A former Assistant

Coach and Director of Men’s

Basketball Operations at Niagara

University, Kelley managed every facet of program success—

from academic planning and student-athlete support to

travel logistics, game scheduling, and recruitment.

Known for his strategic leadership and strong

communication with families, Kelley ensures parents are

kept informed and engaged in their child’s athletic and

academic progress. He is deeply committed to providing

student-athletes with broad exposure to collegiate

programs, leveraging his background in recruiting, alumni

relations, and organizing high-level camps, clinics, and

tournaments to create a wide range of opportunities for

visibility and advancement.

He values education and is deeply committed to guiding

his players toward their full potential as students, athletes,

and future leaders.

provide student-athletes with the best balance of mental and physical training.

STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING

Our trainers create a comprehensive plan to best suit each and every student-athlete to improve speed, agility, flexibility, overall

strength, technique and form. Along with extensive training in the weight room, each student-athlete works with the CBD

coaches on all aspects of high-performance. Our highly trained strength and conditioning staff works closely with medical staff

including athletic trainers, school nurses, doctors, physical therapists and other medical professionals with a goal of reducing

the incidences and severity of injuries so that student-athletes can train every day.
