SCUDO POWER Fields of use Scudo Power membranes with BIPV adhere to the following norms: EN 13956: Exposed roof waterproofi ng membrane. The systems electrical connections are fast and simple thanks to the connecting plugs built into the membrane. We highly recommend that this operation is carried out only by qualifi ed personnel. During the normal function, the photovoltaic system will be subject to periodical maintenance. In order to avoid unnecessary damage to the waterproofi ng membrane, the installation of Scudofi ne Walkway is highly recommended. SCUDO POWER TO 135 - SCUDO POWER TO 200 Building Integrated PhotoVoltaic waterproofing membrane, produced by co-extrusion of Poliscudo R polyolefin (TPO) alloy and by a thin layer of amorphous silica on to the upper surface Description Over the last few years, environmental topics such as global warming and sustainability have received growing public awareness. The actual dependence for the production of energy from fossil and non renewable sources has not only vastly increased the quantities of greenhouse gases present in the atmosphere, but has also created a higher demand, which leads to the uncertainty of energy costs for the near future. In the past years Italiana Membrane has been present in this specialised field with its Scudofine (TPO) range of membranes, which offer excellent technical characteristics and numerous advantages in this specific area. Now Italiana Membrane have developed a new product that not only assures the excellent waterproofing qualities but also offers the possibility of production of invaluable energy from a free and renewable source, i.e. ‘the light from the sun’. Scudo Power Scudo Power is a waterproofing membrane with an Integrated PhotoVoltaic film, produced through co-extrusion of flexible polyolefin (TPO) Poliscudo R, reinforced with a glass fibre mat and treated on the upper surface with amorphous silica. Scudo Power offers the possibility of having a Building Integrated PhotoVoltaic system (BIPV), with a TPO layer with proven performance. Composition The BIPV waterproofing membranes Scudo Power are produced by covering the TPO waterproofing membrane Scudofine Roof VV with a thin layer of amorphous silica. The product is encapsulated with a thin transparent layer of fluorinated-polymer, which assures the protection of the electrical parts from ambient elements.
