Lightroom Magazine
A Note from Scott | A FEW WORDS FROM THE EDITOR
IT’S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME
OF THE (LIGHTROOM) YEAR (AGAIN)
It’s upgrade time again (my
favorite time of the year.
Well, my favorite Lightroom
time of the year, anyway).
We have lots of nice new
features (some big, some
not so big, but all really welcome),
and a lot of them are
“ecosystem-wide,” touching
all the different versions of
Lightroom, from Classic to
cloud to mobile. We even
have new icons. Rob Sylvan
has got all the new stuff
covered in this issue starting on page 10 (and, yes, we
held this issue until the official release).
In other Lightroom news, I’m not sure if you’re aware of
it, but we have a sister website called LightroomKillerTips
where, each week, Rob and I share our favorite Lightroom
tips. On Tuesdays, I release a “Lightroom in 60-Seconds”
video tip that picks up where Adobe’s Benjamin Warde
left off with his excellent “Lightroom Coffee Break” videos
that we used to repost. A lot of what I share on the website
is literally, as the name of the site implies, Lightroom tips,
but Rob digs into some meatier topics for his Wednesday
Lightroom-wise (although, we also keep you up-to-date on
that type of stuff on the KelbyOne Insider blog).
Anyway, I want to invite you to stop by, check the place
out, watch a video or two, or get involved in one of our
discussions (it’s a pretty chill community there for the most
part, unless I say something that gets everybody riled up, like
“Don’t use TIFF for anything, ever!” Yeah, stuff like that).
Hoping your summer is off to a better start than the first
part of the year. Stay safe, stay sane, and we’ll catch you online.
All my best,
column. We post every day but Thursday (I have no idea
why we don’t post on Thursday other than, apparently,
I need a break by Thursday).
Another great thing about Lightroom Killer Tips is that we
always stay on top of what’s happening in the greater Lightroom
community, and you’ll always know what we’re up to
