Have Vanquish Will Banish
(Your Fat Cells Forever)
As the fall fades into winter in South Florida, the zest for diet,
exercise and alluring shape only accelerates. “If I could just be
one size smaller,” is not reserved for swimsuits. We are a people
addicted to healthy, fit bodies and beautiful contours, and now,
those of us who pine for any easy fix to love handles, muffin tops
and man boobs have a resource that seems too good to be true.
The technology is called Vanquish, a completely non-invasive
procedure to annihilate fat cells using radio frequency.
Dermatology and Laser Medicine claim it as an enormous
breakthrough. There is no surgery involved and no needles are required;
in fact, the procedure is completely pain free. The machine
never even touches the patient’s skin. Deep tissue heating
without damaging skin or muscle effects measurable
results in this FDA approved
approach to the destruction
of fat cells. Results
can be seen after just
four sessions of fortyfive
minutes each.
Vanquish fat melting
sessions are controlled and
comfortable. The dermatologist
will adjust the laser to hover over
the areas of the body to be treated, never
touching the machine to the skin. The
heat produced from the laser will feel warm,
never hot, and will resemble the sensation of
a heating pad on the belly. Sensors built into
the device “tune” the patient’s fat and customize
the energy required for each patient’s treatment
session.
The science involved is simple. Once the fat
cells have been overheated, they die off and
are filtered through the lymphatic system,
metabolized in the liver, and then excreted
through urine. For this process to be effective,
patients are asked to drink plenty
of water before and after the procedure,
aiding in the elimination of dead fat.
Some minimal redness may occur at the
site of the procedure but swelling is extremely
unlikely.

Patients are not reporting any contraindications. They are losing
two to four inches after four treatments without changing their
diets or increasing exercise.
Of course there are skeptics, but the ease of delivery for Vanquish
speaks bundles about its ability to please patients. Unlike
the other fat buster technologies of the last thirty years,
treatments do not involve downtime or discomfort for
the patient. Liposuction, while capable
of eradicating larger volumes of
fat, requires anesthesia and
surgery and sometimes delivers
uneven results. Ultrasound,
in which a hand piece
is moved around the body to
destroy fat with deep-diving
sound waves, generally requires
pain medication. Cryotherapthy, which
freezes fat cells, does work, but is a slow
process for both the patient and the technician
and requires a significant time commitment.
Vanquish, from all sides, seems to be the fat busting
venue of the future.
Vanquish is new, exciting, and full of promise. Today
it is eliminating beer bellies and love handles.
Tomorrow it will reach to contour flabby arms and
fatty necks. From the point of view of the dermatologist,
this is very “cool” technology; from
the point of view of the patient, this may
be the hottest technique on the planet
for looking good.
