SKATE PARK

Excelsior Springs has a large group of skateboarders

who take advantage of the skate park at Regent

Park. The park provides ramps and rails for practice,

as well as seating for spectators. There are usually

annual competitions held at the park, with pro

skateboarders occasionally in attendance. Learn

GO FISHING

Who doesn’t love a nice day relaxing by the water?

There are more than one great fishing spots in Excelsior

Springs. A catch and release pond is available

at Century Park, or load up your gear and head

out to Watkins Mill State Park. On your way, stop by

Ziggy’s General Store for bait and some tasty homemade

grub.

FLY THROUGH THE AIR

SHOW ME ZIPLINES

Show Me Ziplines in Rayville is just a hop, skip and a

jump away from Excelsior Springs. This one of a kind

zipline course is made up of over 8000 feet of cable

with over a dozen different lines. Show Me Ziplines

EXPLORE THE COUNTRYSIDE

BRING YOUR MOTORCYCLES

With so many country roads and hills, Excelsior

Springs is a dream location for motorcycle enthusiasts.

When the weather is nice, you’ll see dozens of

bikes on the streets. There are often meet-ups and

events in town for bike clubs. Bring your own bike

and see what all the fuss is about!

SPEND TIME IN NATURE

CAMPING

If you’re the camping type, you don’t have to travel

far to find a place to plant your tent or RV. Watkins

Mill State Park has campground space available just

for that purpose. You’ll also find picnic shelters, a

swimming beach, a bike and walking trail and more.

GET ON THE WATER

WATER SPORTS

If you are into water sports, you can bring your

canoe, kayak or paddleboard to Watkins Mill State

Park or Crystal Lakes, as seen in the photo above.

Smithville Lake is also a short 30 minute drive away

for those looking for bigger water activities or who

have bigger boats.

GO GHOST HUNTING

Excelsior Springs has a long history of paranormal

activity. Both the Hall of Waters and The Elms Hotel

are full of spooky stories of unexplained happenings.

Both locations offer their own paranormal tours, and

even if you can’t catch a tour, stop by and ask the

staff - they are sure to have stories to share!

GET A COLD RUSH

SNOW SLEDDING

During the winter months, if there is snow on the

ground you are sure to find a handful of local kids

(and adults!) catapulting themselves down Sunnyside

Park’s Hill on sleds and tubes. If you are looking

for an adrenaline rush, this is where you’ll find it!
