With the shift to working from home and restrictions many Australians are seeking to make a move to<br />

more quieter suburbs away from the city. Households are spending more time at home which has<br />

lead to a dramatic change in lifestyle and 'normality'.<br />

We can see many households spending more time in their kitchen cooking meals, working and relaxing<br />

at home staying in on <strong>week</strong>ends, <strong>this</strong> has lead to the need <strong>for</strong> larger living, office and kitchen areas<br />

where most time is spent. 58% of households reported spending more time watching television and<br />

during the shut down of gyms, many exercised at home. The desire <strong>for</strong> large backyards and the need<br />

<strong>for</strong> new and improved outdoor living has thus increased. Families in particular look <strong>for</strong> properties with<br />

a large backyard <strong>for</strong> children to play and the rise in pet owners during lockdown has also driven <strong>this</strong><br />

pursuing a Master of Property Development and Investment at the<br />
