An introduction to Initiatives of Change

Initiatives of Change (IofC) communities and programs are active in 60 countries around the world. IofC groups have worked for change, healing and transformation in communities torn by racism, conflict and industrial strife. Our work is different in different parts of the world, but IofC communities hold some values and practices in common. Click through this presentation by Nhat Nguyen, Australia, to learn more.

LISTENING

‘For me the voice of God, of

conscience, of Truth or the ‘still

small voice’ means one and

the same thing...

My firm belief is that He reveals

Himself daily to every human

being, but we shut our ears...

This faculty requires effort and

training...’

Mahatma Gandhi

‘Silence is both a physical

and a spiritual necessity for

me…

‘In the attitude of silence,

the soul finds the path in a

clearer light, and what is

elusive and deceptive

resolves itself into crystal

clearness’

Mahatma Gandhi
