EXT. HOUSE, CIVIL TWILIGHT
3 Contd. Rishti drags Ahana out of a party and starts talking
to her, Ahana is crying.
RISHTI
What are you doing! Just look at
yourself, You're a mess.
AHANA
I need to go back inside.
RISHTI
You're not going to end up anywhere.
This is not supposed to be your
purpose in life.
AHANA
what do you know about life?
(while crying; questioning her)

RISHTI
Try this. Go to a cafe in a busy part
of a city and take a seat that gives
you a view of people walking past -
perhaps a table on the pavement
outside.
Now observe.
What you'll see is hundreds, and, if
time permits, thousands, of people,
busily walking to their destinations.
Rich, poor, old, young, men, women,
boys and girls, not where they want to
be, trying to get to someplace that
they want to be at. When they get
there they'll soon want to be
somewhere else.
You'll see a lifeless expression on
most people's faces.
And that's life. We're all trying to
get somewhere we're not. It's
meaningless, which only ends on the
day we die.
