30 advanced CNC machines, most of which can
perform 5-axle machining. Through regular quality
assurance processes in our own-design quality system,
we guarantee the highest quality in all phases
of the manufacturing process. We are also investing
heavily in automation and robotisation so as to optimise
efficiency and capacity utilisation. This actually
entails several of our machines operating 24/7.

CASE
SAAB
BOL300
FROM DRAWING BOARD
TO PRODUCTION
CLIENT
The SAAB electronic defence system for military
aircraft involves the manufacture of the BOL
missile defence system, which protects aircraft
from missile attack by firing a blast of heat towards
heat-seeking missiles, thus leading them away
from their intended target.
NEED
With a tight window for getting its new product,
BOL3000, to the market, SAAB needed a full-service
strategic partner to assist with everything from the design
phase to final production of the components. The
structure of the product made it imperative for SAAB
to work with a supplier skilled in both design and the
advanced machining of tough-to-process materials.
RESULT
In just a short time, we designed and manufactured
components for the BOL300 system. The project
was a great success and helped SAAB launch its new
product on the market within the specified timeframe.

Cytiva
FAULTLESS COMPONENTS FOR
MACHINES VITAL TO LIFE
CLIENT
Cytiva manufactures computer tomographs, MRI
scanners, ultrasound devices, research equipment
and other technical solutions that boost efficiency
and safety in the healthcare sector, and which make
it possible to improve the diagnosis and treatment
of patients with illnesses such as cancer, Alzheimer’s
and diseases of the heart and major vessels.
NEED
Given the extremely high quality demands that apply
to its products, Cytiva was looking for a partner with
an iron-clad quality assurance system. The components
for Cytiva’s medical laboratory equipment had to be
faultless down to the smallest detail. When human
lives are at stake, mistakes are not an option.
RESULT
We have been manufacturing components for Cytiva’s
medical laboratory equipment for over 20 years. In
recent years, we have primarily been delivering
components for the ÄKTA range, which is used for
research into diseases such as cancer. Thanks to our
in-depth knowledge of Cytiva’s products and needs,
we are able to deliver components with a margin of
error of just 2,000 ppm. (The highest permitted ppm
for such components is 27,500). We constantly check
to see what else we can do to optimise production
and shorten delivery times.

Maquet
BLOOD PUMPS WITH
PEERLESS PERFORMANCE
CLIENT
Maquet supplies medical systems for demanding
hospital departments such as operating theatres,
laboratories and intensive care wards. Through its
innovative treatment solutions, Maquet has been
making healthcare safer worldwide since the 1800s.
In-depth understanding of clinical challenges has
also entailed the company being a world-leader
in the market throughout its history.
NEED
With its sights set firmly on constantly improving the
health and well-being of others and saving lives, the
company makes high demands on product and service
development. Improvements have to be implemented
safely and efficiently so that they can benefit as many
people as possible, as quickly as possible.
RESULT
For decades, LK Precision has been helping Maquet
explore the basis for product developments, implementing
revisions and producing prototypes. The
blood pump for which we are now supplying components
– the Rotaflow Centrifugal Pump System –
provides ultra-modern centrifugal pump technology
for peerless performance. The compact design
makes it possible to read all the most important
information quickly for maximum safety.

Implantica
STRINGENT QUALITY REQUIREMENTS
ON MEDICAL EQUIPMENT
CLIENT
Implantica is a medico-technical company that has
specialised in innovative medical implants which
simplify treatment of a number of medical conditions
and improve life quality for the patients.
NEED
For the production of all components for the new
RefluxStop implant, Implantica needed a partner with
extensive experience in medico-technical production.
The company was looking for a supplier with the ability
to meet the stringent demands on documentation and
traceability that apply to the production of products
of this type. Our carefully prepared and highly reliable
quality assurance system, backed by our efficient handling
of technical documentation resulted in Implantica
choosing us as its supplier. The fact that we also have
extensive experience in the field of medico-technical
production was likewise a deciding factor.
RESULT
For production of the new instrument, we carried out
quality rounds in which we validated all processes to
ensure they met all customer requirements and assured
compliance with the extremely stringent demands on
safety and quality. Following the approved manufacture
of a range of prototypes, we are now a complete
supplier of the instrument. We work with the highest
level of traceability in every link of the chain and abide
by all requirements in ISO 13485 following quality
audits with the customer. We package the product
ourselves at our workshop and deliver it directly to
the customer’s warehouse, ready for onward
transport to hospitals.

Parker
Hannifin
CHALLENGING MANUFACTURING
METHODS FOR COMPLEX COMPONENT
CLIENT
Parker Hannifin Sverige is a part of the Parker Hannifin
Corporation – the world’s leading supplier of motion
and control technologies.
NEED
When working on the development of a new product,
Parker commissioned us at LK Precision to produce
a prototype of a valve, followed by concept analysis
concerning batch production.
RESULT
Several other companies had previously been challenged
to come up with a solid method for manufacturing
the valve, but after Parker contacted us, they had
functioning valves in the desired quality just
three months later.

ECAPS
AN ECO-FRIENDLY
FUTURE IN SPACE
CLIENT
Bradford ECAPS is an international team of highly
qualified researchers and engineers which, in partnership
with NASA and ESA, is working to implement
eco-friendly, toxin-free solutions in trail-blazing aerospace
technology.
NEED
Bradford ECAPS needed a supplier with advanced technological
skills, straight lines of communication and the
capacity to process and verify advanced components.
RESULT
Working closely with the quality and development department
at Bradford ECAPS, we are now developing
components for thrusters in an attempt to assure a
more eco-friendly future in space.
