Of Love And Flesh
DEEP INSIDE JOHNNY FORD’S “PORN HOUSE”
With nicknames like
“the porn house,” “a gay
frat” and “the Broners,”
a certain house in
the heart of L.A. has
developed quite a fun
reputation with the local
gay community. The
small house intended for
USC students was the
perfect find when Johnny
Ford wanted to start his
independent gay porn
brand, Of Love And Flesh
(OfLoveAndFlesh.com).
But Johnny didn’t realize
how essential it would
become for their little gay
family.
Johnny Ford worked for
years in gay nightlife,
notably the Adonis clubs
in NYC and L.A. But
when it came to starting
porn, he found a unique
opportunity with other
pornstar friends who
needed a new living
situation.
Four out of six potential
roommates were gay
adult models, so they
decided to find a house.
It worked out great for
roommates to make
independent content
together or openly shoot
all over the house. You can
see different areas of the
house on the sites for Of
Love And Flesh, Johnny
Ford, Quin Quire, Austin
X, and Isaac Parker.
The last member, Isaac
Parker, joined the group
in the late winter of
2020. They all went out
to celebrate on a fateful
Saturday night in March
(and rumor has it they
shot some juicy content at
West Hollywood’s Fubar).
Little did they know that
was the last night out for
a while; the very next day
came the announcement
of the sweeping national
Covid-19 shutdowns.
Restrictions prevented
any studios from
gathering anyone from
different households
for a shoot, so the porn
studios looked for models
living together and came
to Johnny and the porn
house.
Studios sent scripts,
lighting notes and
wardrobes and had
them blocking out the
different positions. With
connections to a handful
of studios, Johnny and
his team shot 11 studio
scenes in two months at
home, when no studio
shoots were allowed.
And that’s not to mention
the constant stream of
ongoing independent
content.
“My roommate
could walk into the
kitchen to make
lunch and I’m on
the counter serving
a different kind of
lunch. It became
our normal,” Johnny
explains, grinning.
The studios are
shooting again, but
things are going
slowly and the
future is always
uncertain. For now,
Johnny is proud of
what he’s built and
everything they’ve
struggled through
together.
“My goal was to
make a socially
conscious gay
porn brand,” he
explains. “I want
everyone to enjoy
the eroticism of
our animal nature,
but you gotta
enjoy porn only as
a fantasy and not
something to give
you unrealistic
expectations or
insecurities. I
try to bring that
conversation with
the content and
support LGBT
charities out of the
business as well.
That’s all we can
do while trying to
survive.”

CELEBRITY CORRESPONDENT
MORGAN
FAIRCHILD
“LIVE IN THE
FANROOM”
On February 21 @ 5PM EST,
please join iconic actor
Morgan Fairchild in the
FanRoom Live for a virtual meet and greet. There, Ms.
Fairchild will intimately be able to talk about various topics
that her fans wish to bring up. It’s kind of like meeting her
at her own private party. Following her meet and greet,
fans can also secure VIP backstage passes and hang out
with Morgan on an even more intimate one-on-one basis.
You can also get a copy of your event.
Morgan Fairchild began her acting career in the 1970’s
on the daytime soap opera Search for Tomorrow. She is
recognized for appearing in an episode of Dallas and for
her lead role in the series Flamingo Road, for which she
received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a
Television Series Drama. She also appeared on Paper Dolls,
Falcon Crest, Murphy Brown and Roseanne. She is also an
AIDS advocate.
Ms. Fairchild and I discussed FanRoom Live as well as her
career and her future projects.....
Hello, Morgan. It’s such
a great opportunity
for your fans to get to
meet you in FanRoom
Live. What are you most
looking forward to?
It’s always fun to explore
the possibilities in a new
format, and doing virtual
shows instead of in-person
is certainly new for me.
And I am SO bad at tech!
I’m very curious to hear
what kinds of topics will
interest my fans.
What can your fans
look forward to in the
FanRoom Live? What are
you hoping to talk about
once inside?
I’ll try to get as glammed
up as I can from home,
so they are not too
disappointed. Wouldn’t
want to scare small
children! LOL! I’m hoping
to hear what topics they
are interested in. I’ve been
doing this for a long time,
so there are lots to pick
from.
The world shifts around
us and we have to shape
ourselves to fit. Although
the FanRoom seems
like an innovative and
immersive way to do so,
how else have you been
attempting to fit?
I’ve been doing Cameos
and Zooms and trying
to learn new tech ways
to interact. Also, I’ve
tried to use my Twitter
and Instagram accounts
to cheer people up by
posting pics from my
walks each day of flowers,
Halloween and Christmas
lights, occasional videos
of encouragement. And
I’ve been touched that
my posts seem to mean
a lot to folks trying to get
through all this crazy time.
You’ve portrayed many
glamorous “rich bitch”
roles in some of the
most popular series on
the planet. How hard
did you have to work
at authenticating those
roles and how close or
far apart were they from
the actual “you?”
I’m actually a puppy dog
from Texas, so playing
bitches has always been
a stretch for me. But I’ve
had success at it because
I have no fear of the
audience hating me. Most
actors want to be loved,
but I realized early on
that I could play bitches
and make them funny,
so people hated me and
loved me!! I made them
laugh.
Have you had your
ultimate stage fantasy,
and if so, what was it?
I’d love to play Eleanor
of Aquitaine in The Lion
in Winter. But I did love
playing Mrs. Robinson in
the national tour of The
Graduate!
Do you recall a moment
that changed the
trajectory of your life?
Seeing Rudolf Nureyev
and Margot Fontaine in
the ballet of Sleeping
Beauty when I was a
teenager inspired me to
move to New York City
and seek a different life
than I might have had in
Dallas. Also, a friend told
me to go see a movie
called Morgan--A Suitable
Case For Treatment when
I was 16. It’s about a man
who lives in his fantasies
INTERVIEW
and thinks he’s a gorilla.
(Vanessa Redgrave got her
first Oscar nomination for
it). She told me, “It’s you”.
And it was!! I lived in my
fantasies because I didn’t
fit in in the high school
football culture at the
time. And she was right. It
was me! I even renamed
myself Morgan because
of it.
If you could have me
ask you any question in
the world, what would it
be and how would you
answer?
You could ask what
many of my Twitter and
Instagram followers have
asked me: How do you
stay “up” during these
crazy times? And I would
tell you that I have had
such a bizarre life that
I learned early on...
Life goes on….and I will
survive this. The secret is
putting one foot in front of
the other and not letting
yourself live in fear.
Advice taken! What
projects are you engaged
in for 2021 and beyond?
I have a pilot called
Melange that we shot
earlier and are waiting for
things to open up from
COVID to start production.
My producer/writer, Tom
D’Angora, has also just
spearheaded an effort to
save the West Bank Cafe
(successfully!) and is now
doing a fundraiser to save
Birdland. And I’m doing a
lot of Cameos, one of the
things I can do from home
until this blows over.

SKIN DEEP
Justin Ultey’s New Single, “Underneath My Skin,”
is about heartache, betrayal, and the feelings that
linger long after the final goodbye of a lost love.
Justin Utley’s newest single from
Scars departs from the rock and
roll feel of the album. “Underneath
My Skin” is a deeply personal and
emotional song; more theatrical
and packed with passion. It is
about heartache, betrayal, and the
feelings that linger long after the
final goodbye of a lost love.
Utley likens it to an Adele track.
“It’s based on an experience I
had that was so intense that the
only way I could express the pain
accurately was through music.
I think the song resonates with
anyone who has been at the
difficult end of a relationship’s
rope, forced to finally cut ties with
a love you thought would last.”
“I remember writing the song and
bringing it into the studio the next
day saying that I needed to add it
to the album,” he continues. “My
producer and I were so frustrated
because we were down to the wire
toward the release date for Scars;
the album needed to be finalized
and delivered to the label. I sang
through “Underneath My Skin”
and my producer sat quietly before
admitting, ‘yeah, this needs to
make it on the record.’”
The music video for “Underneath My
Skin” was directed by Christopher
Lee and filmed at Twig Media Lab
Studios in Salt Lake City. It was
Justin’s idea to paint the song’s lyrics
all over his body.
“I love the end product and how
everything came together,” he
says. “It makes me hopeful that our
communities, too, will finally come
together in 2021 and that we will be
able to celebrate once again. I look
forward to being able to resume
traveling and performing. I so miss
the connection and energy of a live
audience.”
Justin Utley is best known for “Stand
for Something,” a single he released
in June 2010 that inspired action
towards securing LGBTQ marriage
equality in the United States. The
single was nominated by the LGBTQ
Academy of Recording Arts for 4
OutMusic Awards, including Best
Songwriter and Artist of the Year. It
won Best Country/Folk Song of the
Year.
Scars is Utley’s third studio album. It
is one of the most heartfelt, brutally
honest, thought provoking and
vulnerable collection of songs he
has ever produced and it has been
embraced by fans. The pop-single
“Survivors” has now passed 100,000
plays on Spotify, and the four videos
from the album have received over a
million views combined.
Justin Utley’s “Underneath My Skin” is available on Apple Music,
Spotify and all digital platforms, along with the entire Scars album. Visit
Justin Utley’s website @ Justinutley.com. Follow him on Instagram @

JOHN DUFF
PUMPS UP THE JAM
John Duff’s “Do It” may harken
back to early 2000’s house music
but its message is pertinent today.
It is a call-to-action to the many
people who are afraid to pursue
their dreams out of fear of public
perception. “As a thirty-oneyear-old
gay man making music, I
understand the optics. ‘Are people
going to laugh at me?’ Probably...
but then I don’t lose anything if
they do. If I give up, however: I do
lose something. I lose time, I lose
opportunity.”
The song’s verses are a series of
questions we should all be asking
ourselves. Am I living in my authentic
truth? Am I actively playing a
positive role in my own destiny?
What do I have to lose? Who is
stopping me?
Says Duff, “I have a lot to prove -
but only to myself. I’m a science
experiment. I am here to prove that
I can keep coming out, falling on
my face, and surviving. I’m here to
prove that the human soul is more
resilient than plastic.”
The “Do It” video was shot at his own
home. “Essentially, I told the crew
to come over and film me for a day.
I wanted it to feel carefree and fun,
like life should be. When I was a kid,
I would sit alone in my basement all
day learning songs and dancing with
laser lights and fog machines. The
video was a way for me to get in
touch with that part of my self.
“One thing these months of
quarantine have taught me is that I’m
happy in solitude. I really only want
to come out of my room to perform.
That’s all I live for. Socializing is
draining, monotonous, and boring.”
John Duff grew up in a suburb
outside of Baltimore, Maryland.
After graduating college, he made
his way to NYC where he competed
on The X Factor. He lost because the
judges felt he was too flamboyant.
Simon Cowell even implied that he
should consider a sex change.
He hopes “Do It” will motivate
listeners to do something good for
themselves. “Maybe they’ll hear
it and think, ‘Ugh, that guy is so
annoying,’” Duff reflects. “Whatever
emotion they get from the song,
I hope they feel it to the fullest. Is
there anything worse than leaving no
impression?”
John Duff’s “Do It” is being distributed
independently and is available on Apple Music,
Spotify and all digital platforms. Its video is available
on YouTube.

JACK TRACY’S ROARING ‘20S
The indie-pop star and Sherry Vine Bring
Back the Nightlife in “Love Yah”
Jack Tracy paints a fantasy of
post-pandemic nightlife with
the help of drag icon Sherry
Vine in the video for his new
song, “Love Yah.”
The dance track, with its
funky vibe, was penned by
Tracy while he was feeling
isolated due to months spent
in quarantine. “I imagined
myself finally going out,
letting loose and blowing some steam,” he explains. “I’m currently single,
but for the song, I gave myself a man who worries I’d get caught up in
the nightlife and not come back home. He needn’t be concerned. I’m very
considerate to my fictional boyfriends!”
The single is the title track from Tracy’s soon-to-be-released Love Yah EP.
INTERVIEW
Hi, Jack. You’ve been busy since
the pandemic!
I have recorded nearly 30 new songs
during quarantine. Love Yah is
meant to give a sample of the types
of songs I’ve put together. “Love
Yah” and the next single, “Don’t
Compare,” lead the album as the
dance tracks. The EP then slides
into anthemic Prince before moving
to some moody vibes and then
concluding with my ‘90s-style pop
ballad.
The “Love Yah” music video
imagines a post-pandemic NYC.
I wanted to portray the first day of a
new roaring ‘20s.
You also squeeze in a message
about the need for vaccination.
I’ve heard a lot of talk from people
who don’t trust the vaccine--even
healthcare workers declining to
take the vaccine, despite it being
available to them. It sends a terrible
message to the rest of us. I wanted
to combat that selfish thinking and
do something that would encourage
everyone to get vaccinated as soon
as legally available so that we can get
out of this nightmare sooner rather
than later.
One of NYC’s and L.A.’s favorite
drag queens, Sherry Vine, stars in
the video with you.
Sherry and I met when we were
paired as partners in a cardio-boxing
class a few years ago. She has been
a sounding board and mentor to me
since I began making music. We
were always looking for a way to work
together, and when she reached
out to say how much she enjoyed
my pandemic-era web series, Dying
Alone, Together, I thought of writing
a similar scenario for her. In the video,
Sherry serves as the host of Drag
News, announcing that 80% of the
US has finally been vaccinated and
nightlife has reopened.
The video also features lots
of merchandise from popular
podcasts.
I’ve spent most of my pandemic
listening to podcasts like Trixie &
Katya’s Bald and the Beautiful and
Alaska and Willam’s RaceChaser. This
is my shoutout to them.
And as always, Janet Jackson
references are sprinkled
throughout.
A Jack Tracy video wouldn’t be a
Jack Tracy video without a nod to Ms.
Jackson.
All proceeds from “Love Yah” will go to
the funding of Season 4 of Jack Tracy’s
popular History web series.
