LETTER FROMTHE CHAIRDespite social distancing, stay in place orders,masks, event cancelations, hours of 100+ mphsustained winds, 30 inches of rainfall, 6-footstorm surge and massive flooding, immensedamage & clean-up, this past year the PerdidoKey Area Chamber, member businesses and people wholive, work, and play here have prevailed through it all.Perdido Key Area Chamber of Commerce staff andvolunteers quickly developed and implemented creativeinitiatives hosting hundreds of virtual seminars &networking events, executed an email campaign about COVIDrelief loans & grants available, advocated for business reopening,introduced the business Bounce Back Campaign, disseminatedhurricane preparation and post recovery critical information,advocated for disaster area declaration, accommodated SBA &FEMA recovery programs, all to inform, support, promote, helprecover and champion thechamber’s member businessesand the business communityin the Perdido Key area.Our community stewardshipcontinued adhering to CDCguidelines with several driveinmovies, first ever Trunkor Treat and CommunityCraft Fair, and created a “Preserve our Beach” campaign andhonored our First Responders at our annual meeting.We have begun the comeback to be bigger, better, and bolder!It is an honor to welcome you back to our hidden gem.
