And in cases where people do not believe yet, or they haven’t got baptized yet, or they haven’t received the Holy Spirit yet, we see the first disciples help those people. - By preaching to them, as Paul preached to the Ephesians in Acts 19. - By baptizing them, as Philip baptized the Samarians in Acts 8. - By praying for them to receive the Holy Spirit, as Peter and John prayed for the Samarians in Acts 8. And what terminology do the apostles use when they talk about those events later? Get a crystal-clear picture of how to bring a person to the Lord. SO THAT YOU CAN GIVE NEW BELIEVERS A GOOD HEAD START IN THEIR WALK WITH THE LORD.

This is the clear pattern we see in Acts.<br />
When people believed the gospel they got<br />
baptized.<br />
This was apostolic doctrine.<br />
Normal.<br />
Peter laid this out on the day of Pentecost.<br />
Peter was the first to preach Christ, after<br />
His resurrection.<br />
