Weekend Handout April 3/4

Welcome! April 3/4

a note from Pastor James

Welcome to Easter at FAC! I’m

so glad you chose to join us this

weekend and make us a part of your

Easter celebration. I want FAC to feel

like home for you. Whether you’re

at one of our physical campuses

or joining us online, settle in, be

yourself, enjoy the music, participate

as you’re able, and allow the wonder

to fill your heart.

He is risen … He is risen indeed! We celebrate this reality as the core of

the Christian faith, the victory that assures us of our own redemption.

But if we’re honest, when the celebration of the day fades, what lingers

and often overtakes the hope is an uneasy sense that nothing has

actually changed. What if Jesus were here to answer our doubts?

What might He show us?

If you’d like to know more of who Jesus is or how He can impact your

life, visit faccalgary.com/next-steps/follow-jesus or connect with one

of our pastors faccalgary.com/contact-us.

Happy Easter ... Christ is risen!

James Paton

Lead Pastor

After Easter at FAC …

Many of us are familiar with what Jesus said … Chances are we can even

recite a verse or two. But the truth is that it’s much easier to say some of

what He said than to do what He did. The earliest Christians (translated

“Christ-like ones” or even “little Christs”) were referred to as “followers of

the Way” … Their most distinguishing mark as a group was how closely they

followed Jesus, even to the point of mimicry; it was what defined them.

So what about following Jesus in 2021? What does it mean for us – here, now

– to live a life that would define us as a “follower of the Way”? Join us starting

next weekend for The Jesus Way – a teaching series during which we‘ll

explore some of the distinctives of Jesus’ radical life, and what it would look

like to choose to live as a follower of The Jesus Way.
