THE LADDER
Mission
The Ladder Alliance seeks to provide
women victims of domestic violence
and low-income women with the
tools to lead self-reliant, independent
and successful lives. In
accomplishing this mission, our
organization impacts not only our
clients but also their children, other
family members, and future
generations. The Ladder Alliance
provides technical skills, confidence
and cultural capital to low-income
women and victims of domestic
violence in Tarrant County.
ALLIANCE
The intern role will include:
Works with marketing staff to design and
produce compelling print materials,
including brochures, event invitations and
advertisement
Adheres to project deadlines and provides
status updates on a regular basis to
management
Produces videos, photography, animated
graphics and other electronic
multimedia
Performs regular office duties as needed,
such as filing, making copies, answering
phones, etc.

Operations Assistant
The intern role will include:
Secure bids and analyze
Support project completion and reporting
Assist in implementing special projects as needed
Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect members,
staff, equipment, materials and facilities
Accountable for reporting incidents and completing
documentation within required timeline
Be positive role model for members
Maintain emotional control and make good decisions under
pressure
Represent the Boys & Girls Club in a positive manner
Complete all other duties as assigned
Advancement Assistant
The intern role will include:
Assist with major Data Improvement Project
Conduct affinity/capacity research on prospective donors
Assist with event logistics
Assist with filing improvement project
Conduct research on BGCA Alumni Program plans
Draft plan for creation of BGCGTC Alumni Program
Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect
members, staff, equipment, materials and facilities
Accountable for reporting incidents and completing

Maintain emotional control and make good decisions under
pressure

Music Assistant
The intern role will include:
Assist the Music Clubhouse Director in creating bands, ensembles, live
performances, recording projects, music videos, song writing and
other projects.
Provide proper instruction to prepare members for performances and
showcases (CD productions, live shows, open mic nights, and the like)
Provide workshops, lessons, and open studio time
Make connection with the members and peek their interest in music
by providing tour of music room and studio; demonstrate skilled level
playing on choice of instrument
Actively engage members in programming; ensure programming is
interesting and fun
Provide a safe place to explore music
Provide proper instruction to prepare members for performances and

literacy programming
Assist with research, design, and implementation
of impactful literacy programming for after school
programming
Assist with implementation and assessment of
pilot literacy programming
Attend literacy meetings when available.
Participate in planning an implementation of
literacy partnership activities
IT Assistant
The intern role will include:
Assist with implementation of
new technology and other special
projects
Perform regular and routine
maintenance of organization IT
infrastructure including updates
to hardware and software
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and
resolve IT related issues

and Democratic republic of Congo.
Interact with city and state
agencies and representatives as well
as other non-profits in order to

audience through social media strategies thereby
developing community relations efforts.
Programming: actively participate in existing
programs to better grasp the issue of adult literacy.
Community Outreach:, developing community

community to identify and develop strategic means
for promoting the Coalition's mission.
External Relationships: working with local literacy
providers, community partners and board to
cultivate community relationships, represent the
agency in community venues and expand
