IT’S ALL ABOUT<br />
THE NAIL<br />
Less hand and more nail! When you take a photo it is important to focus<br />
on the nail. Your audience is all about nails and ultimately that is why they<br />
are following you on social media, to see latest trends, colours and nail art.<br />
Make sure that when you take a picture the overlay is absolutely perfect, it<br />
is important to advertise your best work.
SOFT LIGHT IS<br />
THE BEST LIGHT<br />
Soft light is light that creates shadows <strong>with</strong> a gradual transition from light<br />
to dark. There are no hard shadow lines. It is created from a scattered<br />
or diffused light source. Soft light is found where the lighting is indirect or<br />
where it passes through a diffuser, clouds or some other medium which<br />
scatters the light. Which gives a soft glow to the skin and nails that makes a<br />
perfect picture!<br />
NATURAL LIGHT<br />
IS EVEN BETTER<br />
The most basic and important form of light is natural light, generally referring<br />
to any light created by the Sun. Colour temperature changes throughout the<br />
day, depending on the time and the amount of clouds in the sky. At dawn,<br />
the sky appears light blue. At sunset, the sky appears orange (this is what<br />
photographers refer to as the golden hour or magic light); and at dusk, the<br />
sky appears violet-blue. All these factors can change the look and feel of an<br />
image immensely.
RELAXED HAND<br />
POSE<br />
Keep in mind that the hand pose can make or break an image. Be sure to<br />
keep your hand relaxed and as natural as possible. Find the best pose for<br />
your client where she feels the most comfortable so that you take the best<br />
photo to suit her hand and nail type.
