I think those figures areextreme, especially for the domesticabuse sector which is notoriouslystrapped for cash.A: I once got a 4 month long job doingcorporate role play work where wewould teach things to companies,things that could be fairly dull likehealth and safety. I would travelaround the country with 2 other actorsand we would teach things through themeans of theatre, so we’d be charactersand we would play out a scenario andthe reaction that you get is so muchbetter than anything I’ve ever seenbecause people are really engaged. Asmy story is true - it’s not ‘based onfact’, it is fact - every conversation thatI recount in Green Door is true so,from that point of view, I think it’squite powerful, and it won’t be unique,but it’s quite rare to have a survivor tellher own actual story in that way.M: Yes, I’d agree that it is quite rare.
