Become a Member at FAC

Being a member at FAC means you value connecting with others, growing in

your walk with Christ, being involved by serving others, and sharing the love

and message of Jesus. Learn more at our membership class! May 31, 7:00 pm,

online. Please register to receive Zoom link.

Inner Healing Ministry

FAC’s Inner Healing Ministry is designed to bring emotional, spiritual, and

physical healing to the experiences of our past. Our past hurts and wounds

are healed as we move to a place of forgiving those who have wronged or

hurt us. Sessions at various times through June 24.

Donations for Families

FAC is partnering with other local organizations to collect gently-used or new

clothes for kids of all ages, but especially 8 years through teens. Label for “Carter

Reimer” and drop off in the Mustard Seed donation bin at the east entrance of the

Deerfoot Campus. We’re also accepting basic furniture donations to help families

in need. Email Carter Reimer creimer@faccalgary.com to arrange drop-off.

Celebrating our FAC Volunteers!

We love our volunteers – and this week we celebrate all those who serve here

at FAC … The Value of One, the Power of Many.

Throughout the pandemic, we’ve had hundreds of people serving in multiple

ways, so many behind the scenes and in our communities.

If you’d like to get involved serving with one of our FAC campuses, just text

serve to 403-252-7572, and we’d be happy to help you find the place to serve

using your gifts and talents in the most rewarding way!

Called to Volunteer

One of the verses that

has meant a great deal

to me is 1 Timothy 6:12:

Fight the good fight

of the faith. Take hold

of the eternal life to

which you were called

when you made your

good confession in

the presence of many

For me this rich verse issues a “call” for me to be obedient not only in

growing my faith but to serve those with whom I am fortunate enough

to cross paths. Serving in my life has been a very important part of my

walk. I believe God wants us to have an active faith, to continually look for

opportunities to reach out and assist. I don’t look at the opportunities I am

involved in as “volunteer” roles, but rather as my responsibility to build my

faith and walk with my Lord.

Whether it’s serving with FAC‘s / The Mustard Seed’s Yellowjackets Street

Ministry, where I have the opportunity to pray and love on the marginalized

in our city, or engaging new immigrants and families in conversation through

the YYC lunch programs, or helping out with one of many opportunities at

FAC both online or onsite, I feel God has given me the confidence to step

out of my comfort zone and step into service. I’ve learned it’s not a matter of

skill sets or perfection; God is looking for presence and willingness. I serve

because of the faith God has given me to “fight the good fight” …

As National Volunteer Week draws to a close, we celebrate our many FAC

volunteers, including Craig Jones! Craig serves Jesus by serving others with a

variety of teams here at FAC. Check out this week’s blog post to read more about

what serving means to Craig. And learn more about volunteering at FAC!
