NEWS FROM THE BOARD 

COMMUNITY INFORMATION 

Community Solutions has officially notified the Board of their resignation, 

effective April 30, 2021. The Board is in the process of reviewing 

preliminary proposals from five separate management companies. The 

plan is to have a new management company in place by May 1, 2021. 

FALCON POINT EAST MEETING

The pool opens May 1, 2021. The pool is open every day, from 8 AM to 8

ELECTION REGARDING FIRE PROTECTION 

Harris-Fort Bend Counties Municipal Utility District No. 5 sent out a 

letter dated March 4, 2021, notifying the Falcon Landing Residents of a 

pending election to secure payment for fire protection. If the election 

is unsuccessful, the MUD plans to call another election in November 

2021, for approval of the Interlocal Agreement and Fire Protection Plan. 

The anticipated cost will be $25 per resident, per month. The MUD will 

use the funds collected by the homeowners to pay ESD 2 each year for 

providing fire protection services to Falcon Landing (AKA Falcon Point 

East). Any questions should be directed to the Board at:

as another resource to keep up with current events and activities. The

COMPLIANCE: Some of the most common mistakes that homeowners/ 

renters make are: 

• Forgetting to cut, weed and edge your grass on a regular basis: 

• Frequency of maintenance depends on the weather, rate of growth, 

weeds, etc.; however, the maintenance must occur often enough to 

ensure the lawn is maintained to the community wide standard. 

• Forgetting to put up your trash can at the end of a trash collection day: 

• Please put your trashcan and recycle bin away and out of public view. 

Leaving your can by the front of the garage door or on the side of the 

home warrants a letter from Community Solutions. 

• If you have a lack of storage space within your garage, an alternate 

solution might be to purchase an enclosure for the side of your yard, 

which hides the trash can from view. 

• Not putting in a Home Improvement application before you make a 

modification to the exterior of your home. 

• Meeting Minutes from September 24, 2020 - “The Board discussed the 

rope swings that were prevalent in the community. After discussion, the 

Board agreed that as long as the swings blended in with the landscaping, 

were not bright in colors” (earth tone is required) “and were properly 

maintained, one would be permitted with an approved Architectural 

Review Application and a photo of the swing.” 

• If your application is denied, you have the option to appeal it to the 

Board.

You could make this on National Eat What You Want Day May 11th! 

INGREDIENTS: 

1 cup sliced fresh peaches 

3/4 cup peeled, cored and sliced apple 

3/4 cup peeled, cored and sliced pear 

1/2 cup blueberries 

1/2 cup pitted and sliced cherries 

1/2 cup pitted and sliced plums 

1 egg 

3/4 cup white sugar 

1/4 cup milk 

1 cup all-purpose flour 

1 teaspoon baking powder 

1/2 teaspoon salt 

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 

2 tablespoons butter, melted 

DIRECTIONS: 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 2 quart baking 

dish. Arrange the peaches, apple, pear, blueberries, cherries and plums in 

the prepared baking dish. In a medium bowl, beat egg, sugar and milk. 

In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder and salt; stir into 

the egg mixture. Stir in vanilla and melted butter. Cover the fruit with the 

batter mixture. 

Bake 30 minutes in the preheated oven. Cobbler should be bubbly and 

lightly browned. Serve warm.

8 ounces cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined 

1 avocado, peeled, pitted and diced 

1/2 bunch fresh cilantro, chopped 

1/4 cup orange-flavored carbonated beverage 

3/4 cup ketchup 

1 (4 ounce) packet saltine crackers 

DIRECTIONS: 

Chop the shrimp into smaller pieces and transfer to a bowl. Stir 

in the avocado and cilantro. In a separate bowl, stir together 

the orange soda and ketchup until the foaming stops. Pour 

over the shrimp mixture and toss to coat. It should be soupy. 

Refrigerate for about 30 minutes to blend the flavors before 

serving with saltine crackers.

mission project effort to provide mosquito nets for draping over beds to 

protect kids while they sleep. The nets will be distributed all over the worldwherever 

mosquitoes may carry malaria. Treasured is for kids from 3 years

Howdy! Our names are Kai, Cazden, Robbie and Jack, we are four SLHS 

Alumni and Texas Film School Graduates. For the past year we have 

been creating Katy’s newest and only Animation and Filmmaking camp, 

Creator Camp! Our goal is to share with students the wonders of film and 

animation without the dullness of note taking and lectures. We designed 

our 3-day camps so that students will learn hands-on and in real-time, 

creating Special effects, Green Screen effects, Sound effects and loads 

more. Each day, students will come home with a new movie they created 

themselves and on the last day we will transform a classroom into a 

mock Oscars Film Festival where your child will pick their favorite film 

that they made to be shown on the big screen! We are running our first 

camps this summer and we would love to have some support from the 

local community to get us off to a good start. Camps are held at Mirus
