WHAT ARE THE BCCHS CAREER PATHWAYS?
BCCHS includes two Career Academies, each of which houses four career pathways for you to select
from as your area of focus.
Your high school experience begins with
Freshman Academy, where you’ll get mentorship
from upperclassmen to ease your transition to high
school. In Freshman Academy, students also get to
experience and sample what different academies
and career paths have to offer.

Students in the Health Care or Nursing
pathways have access to BCCHS’s state of
the art health care simulation lab. The lab
gives you the tools and expertise you need
to earn a Certified Nursing Assistant or
Emergency Medical Technician certificate.
Here, you will learn real-life health care
career skills, using:
Early/Middle College and Dual Enrollment Opportunities
Take Grand Valley State University (GVSU) and Kellogg Community College (KCC) courses for
high school and college credit! Choose from select Dual Enrollment courses with GVSU and Dual
Enrollment or Early Middle College courses with KCC.

Link Crew
The Link Crew freshman orientation and transition program is designed to welcome and support you
by assigning you to a junior or senior Link Leader as a mentor during your first year at BCCHS. This
Link Leader is a responsible older student who was hand-selected from a large pool of applicants
and has met the qualifications of being a good role model and a positive leader on our campus. This
student will help guide you as you navigate your new school, making sure you’re comfortable.
