PROGRAM SHOWCASE:JACKSON STREET MENTORINGLike our other services, Jackson Street Mentoring isyouth-focused. Our goal is to match youth with an adultthey enjoy being with and can trust that could become apermanent connection in their life.Mentors (trained volunteers) are caring communitymembers who want to build a healthy relationship with avulnerable youth to cheer them on and support them.Mentees (youth) get to spend quality one-on-one timewith their mentor doing activities, accomplishing personalgoals, or just hanging out and talking.I’m grateful to be a part of theMentoring program—it’s opened a doorto an entire community of inspirationalpeople, including my Mentee, Jordan.He would doubtless be surprised todiscover that his energy and resilienceconstantly affirm my dedication toJackson Street’s mission. —SeymourJORDAN & SEYMOURMe and my Mentor, Seymour, have a good friendshipand I feel glad to know him.
