Stella Danalis
SAMFORD VILLAGE | SAMFORD VALLEY SAMFORD VILLAGE | SAMFORD VALLEY
VISUAL ARTIST
Informed by a strong design aesthetic, Stella’s
art practice explores the pictorial language
of geometric abstraction, with a focus on
non-objective colour structures. The purity of
geometric form offers her an avenue in which
she can embrace her passion for colour, form
and composition. She lets geometric narratives
unfold between colours and shapes.
Inspired by his relocation to Samford, his personal
interest in photography and the natural landscape
was rekindled. For the 25 years prior Jon’s work
had focused on the man made landscape as one
of Australia’s leading architectural photographers.
Philip Pronger
WOODWORKER
Philip designs and creates ‘rustic’ furniture. The
work is characterised by a simplicity of design
with a goal to maintain as much as possible of
the timber in its original form. He endeavours
to produce his furniture from recycled, donated
or locally scavenged wood. Philip captures the
natural beauty of the timber often lost in the
mass produced, disposable furniture of today.
VISUAL ARTIST
As a trained chef Ulrike has always been
intrigued by texture, which now shows in her
paintings. It takes patience and time to layer
the different materials such as acrylic paints,
inks, textiles, sand, yarn and gold leaf. She
chooses bold and bright colours as she believes
firmly that colour influences ones mood and
outlook on life.
