Collection name: Perfect Blue
"The color of illusion is perfect blue"
Feminine proposal for the following Spring / Summer. Perfect blue is inspired by the 90’s
movie with the same name, is an allegory made to the constant exploration of perception of
our identity, sexuality and beauty.
The name refers to the last scene in the movie when Mima, the protagonist looked at the
sky and at that moment she realized that everything will be fine, this is something that
most of us do unconsciously, in some way as much as the sea and the sky. They are the
most visually relaxing things, they are not blue but it is an optical illusion.
Sometimes there are perfect days, that even if it rains or not
(meaning there are problems or not), you can have a great day
since the sky is a perfect blue, that encourages you to continue
living.
Perfect blue signature style is based off contemporary art of Japan. It is difficult to
differentiate between reality and illusion which is why the collection includes a mix of
patches, colors, and a mix of bold and delicate fabrics in a captivating play of color
contrast. The silhouette of fashion in 90’s was characterized by looser shirts, crop tops,
acid-wash jeans and Capri pants alone which you’ll see repeatedly in every outfit with
different styles.

was a Japanese film
Perfect Blue (Japanese: パーフェクトブルー,
Hepburn: Pāfekuto Burū) is a 1997 Japanese
animated psychological thriller film[4 directed by
Satoshi Kon[6] and written by Sadayuki Murai. It is
based on the novel Perfect Blue: Complete
Metamorphosis by Yoshikazu Takeuchi. The film
follows Mima Kirigoe, a member of a Japanese idol
group, who retires from music to
director, animator, screenwriter and manga artist from Sapporo, Hokkaidō
and a member of the Japanese Animation Creators Association.
His films are characterized by psychological complexity, realistic characters,
set designs and the mixture of reality and dreams. He is considered one of
the greatest minds in anime. Satoshi Kon had an impact on a number of
influential directors. American filmmaker Darren Aronofs acknowledged
the similarities to Perfect Blue in his 2010 film Black Swan, but denied that
Black Sw was directly inspired by Perfect Blue.[40][41] Several critics and
scholars have noted many striking similarities
pursue an acting career. As she becomes a victim of
stalking, gruesome murders begin to occur, and Mima
starts to lose her grip on reality. Like much of Kon's
later work, such as Paprika, the film deals with the
blurring of the lines between fantasy and reality in
between Kon's Paprika (2006) and Christopher Nolan's Inception (2010),
including plot similarities, similar scenes, and similar characters, arguing
that Inception was influenced by Paprika
contemporary Japan.

Red appears as an alarm indicator, thereby creating suspense
and letting the audience know that something is about to
happen.

sadness, depression, while light shades of stillness,
potency, tranquility, purity, and fantasy
Red represents love,
passion, hatred, but
above all for satoshi kon
uses them for violence,
alarm and danger.
In the set everything is light blue.because everything is supposed to be
perfect there, seeking to idealize the image of the artists

Death fish scene- mima comes back home and found
her fishes death.
The death of the fish represents the loss of innocence,
something that she cared for with so much affection was
lost and only a small part remains, she cared so much
for her image but she feels as if she had just betreyed
herself, that's why she finally cries frustrated, not only
for fish but because of what she has done to herself,
what she has done to herself to please other people.

who are you?
The film makes us question ourselves if we are the same person as ten
seconds ago, at first the answer would be yes, but if in those ten
seconds something traumatic step then the answer is no. We are not
the same person ten seconds ago as 10 years ago and the things we
live make us who we are now. that's why in the end she end up who she
is. The artists image is completely separated from their real person, just
as we are to our friends and being different towards our parents, we all
give an image, brushstrokes of ourselves, of how we want them to see
us, different tonalities of who we are, and the fear comes when
someone perceives us in a different way, to something opposite of who
we are, or that we could do certain things that are not like that, and the
most terrifying thing is that they see you that way and it seems reality.
Many times we allow ourselves to be influenced by the media to look
perfect and ourselves to try to aspire to that without achieving it.
but the reality is that perfection does not exist, it is something totally
subjective and when you realize that, that nobody is perfect, that is
when the sky clears. We can all have peace, because we all have
defects, even if some people's lives look perfect blue.
